I agree.  Wind Waker has aged wonderfully. Playing it in 2012, it still looks fantastic.  Sometimes Nintendo makes games with art styles that are so well thought-out and done so perfectly that the game never looks out-dated.  I'd say in addition to WW, the core 3D Mario's since 2002 have also aged wonderfully due to clever techniques used to hide the limitations of the hardware.

My favorite Zelda and still the most beatiful game I have played. I loved that game. From time to time I feel like playing that game a second time on my old savegame.

WW its my favourite Zelda game for its gameplay elements, but for me SS looks much better, models and use of colour are miles ahead of WW...

AND DQ8 looked like poop, no way it looked better, not even to some other PS2 rpgs like Dark chronicles, Rouge galaxy....

Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda. I've played and beaten it at least three times now, but alas, I lost the game disc for it, so I'm hoping to get a HD remake of it someday. Or if they put it on the VC for the Wii U, I will be happy. It would be fun if Nintendo decided to continue with that cartoonish Zelda on the 3ds.

For games that look potentially better using cel-shading I'd say Persona 4 Arena takes the cake.

one of the best games I have ever played. The art style is stunning, I do some 3d animation and I love the cell shading, I wish more game were make like that.

There seems to be a little confusion by a couple of posters as to what the thread is about. Basically it is my opinion on the Graphics and art style of the Windwaker and how the game has aged beautifully. Since it is a Nintendo game i put it on the Nintendo disscusions...simple. To me its the best looking game ive seen,but that is just my opinion ,im not looking for an argument :) sorry for any confusion.

I couldn't agree more. Windwaker was the first Zelda I ever played and it's still my favourite, probably even my most favourite game of all times. And I think that's mainly due to the magnificent art style, even though the whole gameplay is just terrific.

Oh how I wish they'd make another Zelda title with the same art style and do a WW HD remake.

In terms of graphical style, I agree. This is my second favorite Zelda game. SS usurped it.
