Sick of people shoving gay pride crap down people's throats. It's so stupid. Are people so low that they have to add a political message to cookies now? As a christian, I will never recognize their partnership despite what the government claims.

Christian religion doesn't mean you have to hate gay people. This image is from the Christopher Street Day in Berlin, it shows the truck of the christian gays:

No. The bible clearly states that being gay is a sin. Any christian who defends it as if it is not a sin is either not actually a christian or very mislead and ignorant of what their religion actually states. Sure, you can be kind and nice to others with different beliefs but you must draw a line and the sand and not stand up for something that is explicitly stated as wrong.

An awfully bold statement from an individual who seems to be terribly misled about the teachings of Christ himself.

The Old Testament is a Jewish text which has little to do with the teachings of Christ. Jesus directly contradicted much of the Old Testament providing us with a far more humane belief system. As a Christian you are not referring to anything in the Old Testament so you must have mistakenly been taught that Christ condemned homosexuality as a sin which he most certainly did not. Also, as a supporter of "traditional" marriage I hope you also condemn interracial marriage. Now, considering that marriage is a Jewish institution and not Christian, it is worth noting that three out of the four major Jewish denominations support gay marriage and that neither you nor anybody else has the right to deny other religious groups the right to practice as they wish. Finally, several Christian churches also support same sex-marriage but that is hardly ancillary at this point.

He also made a point that it is impossible for anyone to be without sin. He said just looking at a woman and having dirty thoughts is the same as commiting adultry. He also said anger in the heart twords another human is looked upon in the same dark light as murder.

Here is one of the most inportant excerts from the New Testement, Notice what Jesus says about homosexaulity:

And someone came to Jesus and said, “Teacher, which good thing must I do that I may have eternal life?”

But he answered him, “Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into that life, keep the commandments.”

The man said to him, “Which ones?”

And Jesus said, “Don’t murder, don’t commit adultery, don’t steal, don’t lie, honor your father and mother—love your neighbor as yourself.”

Some good points indeed. Although I must say that I always found the Ten Commandments to be a strange set of values. You shall not covet yet you can take all of the slaves that you want.

marriage is not a creation of religion. none of them have any rights to claim it as their own. people who go on like that really annoy me because they are stupid, ignorant, or quite likely both(since those qualities are traditionally married to each other, as it were).

a wealth of human history says its not.

Why do people need a gay pride month? We don't even need a black hitory month, or, any other type of month that is for a specific isolation of people. Can we stop this already? There's only 12 months out of the year as it is.

Why the hell would you spend a month to celebrate who you are? Are you supposed to be better than someone? I doubt anyone who's completely happy with themselves would need to take a month out of the year to appreciate themself. It's something you should already be doing anyway.

Seeing this, I wont buy oreos either because we have enough isolation months, and days. Mother's day, and Father's day needs to be tossed out too.
"It's father's day! Eventhough I tend to forget about him the other 364 days of the year, I'm going to be a good son/daughter, and make his day."

What the hell kinda crap is that? Valentine's day needs to go too... All of it... I don't celebrate that stuff. It's called do something nice for someone without waiting for a particular day, or month of the year. It adds to the surprise, and shows you cared enough to think about them when you weren't promted to do so by some phoney holiday ploy.

Here's an idea. How about we just mix all those "remember someone else" days, into one month, and call it "anti-depression month."

Think about it. Everyone being kind to everyone. Because those that need those months and days reserved for who they are, are obviously depressed the rest of the year, and want to feel important. They forget they're just as useless as their next door neighbor, regardless of who they may be.

Gay, Straight, or blue skin. You people are all the same.

The ten comandments were social guidlines for that time. They were meant to help people keep order and prevent problems. This is kind of why Jesus shortened the comandments to what he felt were the most important.

What about birthdays?

I thought I would repost this pic from the Funny pictures thread that Machina left.

I'm a bit devided over this actual, on one hand i have absolutely again "homosexuals", but on the other hand I find it completely unnecesary to have a Gay Pride Day/Month/Parada whatever. I don't find it necesarry to have a White Atheist Heterosexual parada, so why do other groups?

On the other hand, they look like fun oreos, no reason at all not too buy them.

The bible does state much crazy stuff, that is mostly ignored. Only a few christians take the full bible literally. So yes, you can be a christian and defend being gay. That is no contradiction.

Only a few christians these days state that the women should be do as their husband says. But the bible states that.

How literal are you being here? I'm pretty sure the majority of Christians (and most of the world really) believes that the man is the head of the household. Not a slave/master relationship here, but still in charge of making decisions for the well-being of the family.
