Forums - Politics Discussion - So, who here will avoid Oreos because of a rainbow one produced for ad campaign?

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/06/oreo-pride-rainbow-stuffed-cookie-sparks-boycott/

I had wondered what the heck was up with the rainbow Oreo thing that I saw floating around Facebook.  Apparently it was in support of Gay Pride month.  Well... it looks like some will end up boycotting Oreos for it.  As one person wrote:

“I’ll never buy Oreo again,” one commenter wrote.

“Disgusted with oreos,” wrote another. “Being gay is an abmonitation in GOd’s eyes i wont be buying them anymore.”

So, I will ask: Is anyone here going to boycott Oreos, because a rainbow one was produced for an ad campaign in support of Pride month?

That's the beauty of it. With all these social reactionaries boycotting everything, soon they'll be forced to accept the future if they want to watch a hollywood-produced movie or buy food products (aside from Chik Fil-A)

Don't forget In and Out Burger... who happens to make the best burgers in the country.  (Actually I believe it was ranked number 1 overall fast food.)

Don't know what it is, but Super Christian people make some BAD ASS fast food.  Maybe they use better ingriedients.

That said... it's not like liberals don't boycott the crap out of stuff too... I mean, you mentioned it yourself just not to long ago in regards to Glen Back.

As for the OP.  If they ACTUALLY made Rainbow Oreos i'd probably be actually more likely to buy some.  That sounds badass.

Then again looking at the graphic... prolly not... too much cream, i was thinkin it was gonna be like a rainbow swirl Oreo.

Still, no issues here.

Five Guys all the way. Or are we strictly comparing fast food (which Five Guys doesn't quite qualify for).

Fun fact by the way... Oreos are Somehow vegan...

Despite being a chocolate cookie with a cream center.

I normally don't buy Oreos, but now I'm going to have to buy a lot to make up for all the haters.

Wait wait wait. So because the company made a single photoshopped image that shows they think it's okay to be gay, people would refuse to buy them? I mean on the one hand it doesn't surprise me at all on the other hand the people boycotting are idiots.

Seriously it always drives me crazy how the people saying how being gay is an abomination in God's eyes probably do a thousand other things that are also viewed as being wrong in the bible. You know eating ham, getting a tattoo, gossiping, eating seafood that isn't fish, wearing clothes made of more than one material. I'm pretty sure a lot of them are even mentioned in Leviticus which is one of the very few places that bans homosexuality.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

Now seriously those are some of the most stupid things I've ever heard, i think i haven't processed it yet, you will stop buying a cookie because... *sigh* really people? really? I've lost all my faith.
