Ask this question again once NSMB2 and NSMBU are both released and the sales numbers are coming in.

I thought I'd revisit this thread since the reviews are starting to come in.

It's as I feared. The reviews aren't very positive and it's very clear this is going to be the lowest rated mainstream Mario title to date.

They've rushed a game to the market instead of putting their effort into the one that mattered... NSMBU.

Because of this games drop in quality and the fact that there has been too much Mario recently will mean that sales will drop long term. This is going to affect NSMBU and the WiiU itself more than this game which is not good for Nintendo.

Why spend £250 (or whatever it's gonna be) on a new console to play ANOTHER 2D Mario when you played a poor one 6 months earlier.

Like I said originally NSMB2 should NOT exist, there was no need for it, 3DS was selling fine and Super Mario 3D Land had legs. Instead NSMB2 will kill 3D Lands legs and the 3DS will be missing a heavy hitter that has been wasted in a time the 3DS didn't need one.

This is a stupid mistake by Nintendo in the long term!

There is no such thing as too much mario. Keem 'em coming Ninty.

GameCube had Mario kart, paper Mario, Mario Strikers, The Mario Parties, Mario Power Tennis, Mario golf, and Mario Sunshine. That's a lot of Mario games

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

OK so now the WiiU is out do you think NSMB2 damaged the impact of NSMBU?

The series would be fine if they brought new content to it and didn't halfass the 2D games music.

I LOVE ICELAND!
