No thanks. Lots of resources wasted on casual stuff and gaming hardware too weak.

I want a console with a $4-500 launch price with one strong GPU dedicated to gaming. Hopefully Crytek and Epic are able to convince MS to change this roadmap.

seriously, what did you expect? 16 cores, 8 GB RAM, Radeon HD 7970, BluRay and a $400 price?

Look how awesome Halo 4, Gears of War 3, Forza Motorsport 4, Alan Wake looks. Now imagine a 8 times more powerful hardware and these developers will be able to do with it.

I want 4GB RAM, Radeon 7870 and $400.

I know those games look awesome but next gen has to look at least 10 times better, because by then gamers will expect better graphics and PCs have become even more powerful. X720 hardware needs to meet Epic's wishes.

So you want to pay more for the hardware described here!?

4GB and a AMD GPU which is in the 7000 series, with a 6-8 cores CPU, HDD and BluRay.
I just fail to see these specs as underwhelming.

actually i know next box will use DX 12(at least part of DX12)
so it will use 8xxx tech(8xxx,i didn't said 89xx)

Might you be employed by EPIC...?

To me it sounds like an strategy to steal Wii U's thunder, you throw a rumour that the next Xbox will be $299, we wont get confirmation in about 14-15 months from now in the meantime, people will be skeptical wether to buy the Wii U or not since a supposedly more powerful console is coming soon and for the same or even cheaper price.

I was also thinking about the same...

If you mean the hardware described in the leaked documents, then yes $299 sounds dirty cheap. I would want MS to charge at least $400 for that.

Anyway, there's 2 reasons why I want a pricey console.

1. Logically, a $450 console would have a much more powerful GPU than one for $299.

2. A cheap console will attract casuals. A pricey console would focus on hardcore gamers. I really really don't want MS to go casual next gen (but I am convinced they will). I don't care if MS sells 100 million X720s and PS4 only 50 million if the PS4 is a console focused on the core gamer with very powerful hardware. PS4 would be my choice.

ah,Xbox 360 released launch price is 299/399

Do you think casual gamers are like cancer?

Seriously, casual games will not replace core games at all. As long as Gears of War sells 6 million copies, Halo crosses the 10 million mark and Skyrim is a profitable business, core games will not go anywhere.

No they're fake, because they removed it under "Convington & Burling" and in my country burling someone is getting someone in believe to a wrong way
