The RPG I had the most issues with was Hydlide on the NES. Well it's really a Action RPG.

Though I spent many days trying to play it, since it was my new game at the time.

Oh and the AVGN did a video on it. I never got near as far as he does.

What about you guys?

Final Fantasy I for the NES was just horrid, I would not play it (no offense), but loved FFIII lol.

Another RPG horrid I had and actually finished was "E.V.O. Search For Eden", that game is so damn frustrating LOL.

Check it out if you want, it was for the SNES!

FF is awesome, FFIII is trash, E.V.O. is godlike. You just have terrible taste, no offense!

Probably the worst I've experienced is Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom. It was a strange and bleak affair, kind of like Demon's Souls minus everything that's good about Demon's Souls. Really a bewildering choice of direction for the series, and they clearly didn't know how to execute such a game. It was a pretty sad waste of time and money that they didn't just make a regular KUF instead of this... thing, because I would have killed for one this generation. (What the FUCK is up with KUF2?! Most heartbreaking vaporware ever.)

-Skyrim, overhyped and underdelivered for me. The way it is on the PS3 it should never have been released. The combat is pretty mediocre too. They should have copied Demon's Souls/Dark Souls combat system, 1000x better.

-FF13, lame characters, forgettable story.

-FF12, better than FF13 but still not FF worthy, it was an alright rpg in its own right. I guess FF is only marvelous when Sakaguchi is working on it, Lost Odyssey should be called FF12 or FF13.

Unlimited Saga, my worst RPG that I can recall. It's been so long since I played it that I long forgot why I hate it so much.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward = best game ever made.

Im 100% with you on this one.  There might have been worse RPGS I have played, but I actually beat this one.  Made myself do it since I bought it (and was completely broke at the time).  Still shouldnt have played it.

Thanks for the bad memories..

Buggy, slow, horrible combat. I haven't played any WRPG after that.

That is the most amazing thing ever. I think I played it an hour at best, and I was probably ten at the time when I played it. Sorry for bringing up such bad memories, I think now I'm going to search for videos on youtube to rekindle my lost hatred of Unlimited Saga.

Star Ocean 3. It was alright till the second disk; there's something wrong in an RPG when a boss I had to kill, which took everything I had to beat, becomes a random encounter in the next room.

Sonic Chronicles, the only Bioware game I've played, but it left a really bad taste in my mouth. One day I'll play some of their other, better received, games.

FFXIII and FFXIII-2.
