Lol why? So you can derail Nintendo WiiU threads?

State your opinions here, it's where it's at.

I'll start:

The price of an HDD is easily in the 60$. The WiiU is a system that gives consumers a choice, whether to make their game purchases digital or retail. In that view, it makes no sense to charge a customer 100 to 200$ for a feature they won't use. Also, it gives anyone interested in digital downloads to choose whatever External HD capacity he or she desires.

Maybe some will only buy retro games, some will buy WiiU digital games, but ultimately the idea of Nintendo's pricing and design is one of giving consumers a choice, without having prices dictated by the console manufacturer (like Sony and MS).

That's my view on it.

Mark my words, it will have an external hard drive attachment. No way will 8gb be enough for full wiiu game downloads and patches. SD card slot won't hold enough either because 64 gb is not enough.

My opinion is that it isn't really a big deal. External HDD by Western Digital runs around $60 for over 500GB.

This is why I didn't complain in that thread.

Homer, it's already confirmed! The WiiU is compatible with an external HDD. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/30582

Hehe, exactly. Some people just say things to bash Nintendo, and it's always the same ones. haha

8 gigs are enough to pkay Mario.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I think the only things I have bitched about so far are non-mandated achievements and Nintendo's sketchy online network details that got taken out of context.

Pretty tame so far i'd say.

exteranal confirmed.

the real questions are ... for the more casual user that won't be particually aware of dlc or downloadables ect, will the internal storage be enought for saves and patches?

and .. will the external drive be handled elegantly where any data there will be seen by the wii U or will it be like the "SD card channel" on the wii where i had to constantly move content back and forth to be seen by the actual wii system?

if yes and yes than it's all good.  if no or no then fuck you nintnedo.
