Forums - Sony Discussion - R.I.P MGO (June 12, 2008 - June 12, 2012) Can't say goodbye to yesterday...

I never really got into but I feel sorry for the MGO fans!

Around the Network

I've been meaning to give that a try since 2008 but I kept putting it off. Now, it's too late. :(

I wonder what the player population was before they decided to pull the plug?

Skeezer is crying.... I can hear him....

he made a million of MGO youtube videos for all of us to watch... which I won't link...

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

The online component was very bad on this game. Really bad way of creating accounts, matchmaking etc. I haven't played this for that reason.

Around the Network

I played it for about a month I remembered, personally I don't really mind but it's sad for the fans of course. What was the reason to shut it down?

Same here.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Can't you LAN tunnel old online games after the servers have been shut down? Think I saw someone doing it with Timesplitters FP, Twisted Metal Black recently.

Of course, it's sad that officially the servers are down, but I don't think the online component is lost forever. The community wouldn't be the same, but there's ways to see it again in the future.

Yeah Konami really made a mess with their network. But once you got in, awesomeness was awaiting you! Sad that you didnot make it through the sign in screens :/

You shouldve kept on going like Snake through the magnetron
