MGO went offline, one of the greatest online experiences I had.

Sad to think that every MMO currently played will suffer this fate. One can always load up NES or C64 games on an emulator well after everyone's forgotten about them.

Since games are art, there should be a preservation fund for the best online games of the past.

Metal Gear Online was one of the best online experiences out there. It took a lot of skill and brains.

Sad to see it go but I think we'll see it again when the next MGS comes out that Kojima is apparently developing...

I fear the same fate will be feltby many more as games go to digital distribution -- especially with the advent of "always on" games

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I know what you mean I tried once and quickly gave up, to many registrations and steps to get in.

Sad that I never got to try it though

I didn't like the online on this game to be honest. Still sad to see it go? Did konami give any reasons as to why they shut it down?
