Exactly, which is why I always buy my playoff watching beer on Saturday haha.

You can't even buy beer on Sunday in Indianna? That kindo of sucks, at least we have grocery stores we can buy beer at until midnight.

I'll support anyone playing NE except for Dallas.  I despise Dallas.  Of course, thanks to the Giants, that won't be a problem.

If I came in with a 15 year old (I'm not going to use the 4 year old example because it's silly), went up to the register, took money from him, bought the game, and then the next day the parent called bitching they would veyr much get the Gamestop in a heap of hurt. The Gamestop wouldn't lose money but more than liklely the manager would get fired and possibly the employee that sold the game.

I highly doubt anyone would get fired if that happened.

They could be fired, and the manager and employee have the right to protect themselves from that situation.

Well you could get fired for anything...that doesn't mean the employee did the wrong thing.

Have you ever worked retail?  If the above situation happened (with the parent calling in and bitching), the cashier would at the very least receive a written warning on their file.  As an employee, you tend to avoid breaking clear rules set by store policy.

Not sure since this story is about the brother, but if it's the parent buying the game for them I don't think the store can (should?) stop the transaction. Because consent is obviously given by the parent/guardian. It's just like showing DVDs to underage people at home, this can't be compared to alcohol.
Maybe it's different in the US but in the UK it's legal to give alcohol to underage people at home same as with DVDs and games. The legal age for buying it is 18, 16 with a meal, and 5 (yes, 5!) to consume it in the home.

I haven't seen this directly happen but at the Babbage's in the local mall I saw an adult buying some mature rated video game and he had his son with him who looked to be about 12 or 13 and I overheard the cashier making a big deal about it and he was telling the dad that he had to take the cash from him and had to give the bag to him and the kid couldn't touch it until after they had left the store.

Babbage's? Where do you live? I thought Babbage's were only in the New Orleans area (and were then laterbought out by GameStop), or do you live in this area?

I live in Michigan actually, and theres still one Babbage's in the mall here.

PC Gamer

Im 16 and live in the UK, and it is currently easier for me to get hold of alchohol than mature games, if I get rejected alchohol (50:50 chance) i just come back with my 19 year old brother and they dont care how obviously its for me, if i get ejected a mature game and i get my brother to buy it for me they still reject him because they can see me.
whats this world coming to?

Well at least in Australia you can buy any game available if your at least 15 (We don't have any rating above that, hence no Manhunt)

No one really cares to check how old you are. Because it's a lost sale if they don' let you buy it. Although if a seven-year old were to and attempt to buy GTA they'd probably check.

So why did they call it the 360?because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away- some guy on Gamespot
