Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is Nintendo holding back Wii U information? Black Ops 2 a launch title?

It's kind of strange that there's a Nintendo Gamer article floating around about Black Ops 2 coming for Wii U in November, making it a launch window game. There was also some rumors that Madden will be a launch game as well. So my question to everyone is- why in the hell would Nintendo be holding this info back at their e3 conference? Controlling drone strikes or drawing up plays, with the wii U gamepad, that would have been prime footage for an e3 sizzle reel at least. Those are 2 franchises which could actually have a major impact on the wii u launch, so why hold back that info?

The reason i'm wondering is because Nintendo even had COD & Madden for the wii launch if i'm not mistaken; so what the hell changed with the wii U, why wouldn't Nintendo have these games lined up? There are 2 main possibilities i can think of- number 1; maybe Nintendo is holding their cards close for now, deciding that e3 doesn't really mean anything for 90% of the population (also not revealing too much to sony & micro until the last minute), and they will release more info & more titles as we approach the launch. Or number 2; Nintendo actually doesn't have these games lined up, or there are problems with development, which could mean that Nintendo just doesn't have their shit together for launch, or they may even have a major problem getting the online and/or tablet working appropriately with certain games. Can anyone think of anything else? or have any thoughts on this curious situation? Is Nintendo possibly holding back info, or am i just tripping?

Or people would like to see other games like Pikmin 3, NintendoLand, Lego and Zombiu and not the same old stuff available on other systems.

I can appreciate that, the announced launch games look fun & different, which i actually enjoy (i'm  a big pikmin fan too). But Nintendo seemed to want to make a big push with core games & 3rd parties with wii U, so holding back info on black ops 2 or madden is quite strange.

They did? I didn't see any sign of it.

Didnt see any sign of it when WB games & ubisoft made lengthy presentations at Nintendos e3 conference? Didn't see any signs of it when Nintendo brought out a very core style controller pro? Funny, you don't see too well badgenome, you might want to wear clothes because your Takpenis acids, oh sorry that's just your signature.

No. I don't consider showing a port of a year old game and Zombie Game #1,300,033 to be a "big push" with core games.

You're too smart for me, i guess you win. But your RTpenis is leaking acid, so you may want to put on Takclothes, ok genome? Nice signature btw, kind of gives me an insight into how you work (or don't work as the bad genome may dictate).

Well, they were clearly trying to focus on games which would either push the hardware (ACIII), or not be available on other systems.

Clearly, BO2 is neither, or it won't be available this year.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah, but i think BO2 and Madden could push the hardware in very interesting ways. In Madden you could draw up plays, amongst other things, on the gamepad. In BO2 you would control drone strikes and other interesting things with the gamepad. Those seem like system and game selling features to me, i know that i'd be interested in trying those features out.
