I hoped the game would really pick up after the penalty kick, but there wasn't much fire left on either side. It was an alright opening game for Euro 2012. Not good, not bad.

Btw, I think the second yellow card for the Greek player was justified. It was the first one that was very questionable.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

The rules are that if a defender is the last man between the striker and the goal and he brings him down, he's deserving of a card (usually Red)

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

yes but he was stumbling by himself and didn't get fouled. if he touched him or not, he would fall anyway. i want to see how you react if someone is falling in you, sure he touched him then on the shoulders but it didn't change the situation... the defender couldn't run anymore because they guy fell in him.

i hope i remember it correct, i saw it only with one eye^^ but i'm pretty sure i was like that and i read some football sites now to check it and they say the same.

The other player was stumbling, but not enough to fall. The Greek pushed him down (not hard, but the contact was undoubtedly there) and there was no reason for him to touch him at all. It was a stupid and unnecessary foul, he should have just focused on getting to the ball first instead of hindering the other player of getting there. That's not how you play when you already got a yellow card. And because there was no other Greek player behind him, it had to be punished with a yellow card.

Got to love how my favorite two teams (Germany and Netherlands) are in the same group, anyway the only really interesting match to me this week is Denmark vs Netherlands.
