i have been browsing the internet and noticed that the last of us has had huge hype since the gameplay showcase at e3. it has already managed well over a million views on youtube whilst halo has not yet passed a million. is this a sign of things yet to come?

i used halo as an example as it usually has a huge following and for the last of us to be getting more attention then halo i4 is shocking. 

i think naughty dog may have something here. what do you think?

Nah ive been taking preorders and it isnt reflective of real world hype, last of us did get a modest boost but halo hasexploded since its demo

It's definitely getting a lot of hype from the informed gamers. We'll see if this transitions to the mid-core & casuals as we approach the release.

In fact it will sell considerably less than Uncharted unless it gets a huge push from Sony before release though either way itll be less. Game looks amazing though

yh i thought that might be the case. i just thoght it was odd how much it is being talked about and the youtube views. i always assumed youtube was a decent measure of a games popurlarity. the trick is for sony to keep the games momentum through till launch

What sort of pre order numbers we talking about on this game that hasn't got a release date and is at least 10mth away to be released?

Its actually getting pretty decent pre orders for a M rated new Ip and it will for sure be successful for Naughty Dog. Only reason i brought up Halo is cause u mentioned it in the OP. Now that game will be huuuge
