Forums - PC Discussion - Am I the only person excited for Elder Scrolls Online? (in-game video)

A video showing off the in game world.

Some people are afraid that it will ruin the series, that the single-player series will be abandoned, but that won't happen for obvious reasons. I'm excited to see Tamriel during a different era and in its entirety. Overall the art style seems true to the series, and I'm quite excited, despite the game not being first-person. If you look at the skyrim/snowy portion of the video it doesn't look much different from Skyrim. Now, there is still much we have to see, especially the gameplay mechanics. From what I've seen thus far, however, I am excited. I hope I'm not the only one.

yes

I'm not one of those people saying its the end of TES. But the mmo doesn't look exciting. I won't be getting it. just like SWTOR it will basically be a game of filler, it will be fun for a month, maybe 2, then it will die off.

when they decide to take all of tamriel and make it an MMO and make the gameplay like skyrim I will be all over it.

if it is anything close to Skyrim then I'm excited. if it is too different from Skyrim then I'm not sure. If I were making the game, I would want it to have a similar feel as past games, but with a multiplayer twist. I haven't seen much actual gameplay, so I'll wait until then

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

they already said it s nothing like skyrim, its more like WoW then TES.

Not if it runs like the PS3 version of Skyrim. =P

It looks pretty good, but I really have no interest in MMOs. Especially when they charge a monthly fee.

And I've always felt MMOs are more PC-centric, and since my PC ain't up to snuff, I ain't interested in any of them.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

yes you are the only one excited, which is good for you since it will be an awesome SP experience just like Oblivion and Skyrim!

I want this so bad only if:

It plays exactly like Elder Scrolls Skyrim just with loads of online friends. Same mechanics, exactly. The same mechanics. If they turn it into the absolute Carp that is Wow. I mean absolute CRAP. Point and click rinse and repeat mechanics for 20,000 hours. LOL at people who think they are great at it. Its just because you have spent time on it. Not because it takes any remote skill.

You've obviously never done high level arena, I'd bet 1 million dollars that you'd never even reach 2200 rating in your life time unless you get carried since you have to deal with at least 50 keybindings that have nothing to do with point and click(which I'll bet you are not good at either). Now if you are talking about MOBA, that might be true since it's more about strategy and not so much skill, which plays like shit on a gamepad since you can't do quick map access.
