I still believe Geoff Keighly's tweet was based on a previously built Wii U dev kit (GDC was back in march) and things could change come an e3 reveal.  Either way im still getting the system day 1.

Sorry man, but you're in denial. It's all but confirmed that the Wii-U isn't running UE4.

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

honestly i don't care.

whohooo can't wait to see the stuff Nintendo has for us!!

It's actually not complete denial. Nintendo has a pretty strong lockdown on any and all information regarding the Wii U. After the guy got fired for posting a picture of the updated Wii U controller on twitter, I think it's pretty safe to say we shouldn't expect any revealing info on the Wii U before next week at E3.

ok...

you may or may not be honest about that...i can't remember your post history enough to really judge.

...but the thing is that if it doesn't support UE4 the wii U will miss out on a lot of third party multi-plats.  and let me tell you, I just can't wait for a whole another gen of nintendo fans declaring third parties to be lazy when it's nintendo that made yet another machines that spurns the rest of the industry...

Honestly I’m too excited about what Nintendo has to show to care about what 3rd parties have for us in le future but that might change depending on what they show us in le future

WiiU will not be like Wii was to PS360, people expecting that are the ones who are in denial

3rd party devs are always lazy on Nintendo platforms! How dare you think otherwise?

Third parties were and remain lazy. We've handily established this with evidentiary support. Third parties will likely be irrationally neglectful of Wii U, and apologists will continue to blame Nintendo for the industry's intransigience.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

nintendo was and remains arrogant.  after a disappointing GC era (sales wise) nintendo released a new hardware that was incompatible with years worth of investment in the industry's next gen standards and tools.  this made for a very easy decision to not support the wii early on as direct ports were impossible.  the new wii-mote technology was created without proper API support leaving developers unsure how to even create games for it one built explictly for the wii.

if a child were to sit in the corner of gym class refusing to play the game the rest of the class is playing that child deserves to be left alone.  this was the fate of the wii.  your sig says you are unemployed and i belive you just graduated.  belive me when i give you this advice ... if you don't learn to work well with your collegues you will be viewed as a failure even if you have good ideas.  companies respond to a the total package of a good idea, clear communication, an accurate roadmap, timely follow-though, and the ability to make appropriate adaptations based feedback and concerns.  don't blame industry for nintendo's bad business practises.
