Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo E3 2012 Conference - E3 is Dead. Long Live Nintendo Direct!

The hype train is finally getting close to its destination. This calls for some theme music!

Is it too late to board the train?

Heh it looks like Nintendo (almost as usual) will be handling all announcements at their conference. Considering the 3DS Castlevania teaser pointed to June 5 (Nintendo's conference) and not tonight as its unvail. So maybe we will not see much at Ubisoft's and EA's conferences. (I think both are on the 4th.)

I don't believe that. Way too soon for Smash Bros. Maybe they'll tease it with a CGi teaser or something, but I'm still skeptical on that. I don't trust this source at all.

So guys, out of the confirmed Wii U launch window games coming out (see: 2nd OP), which games will you be getting?

Me? Well let's see here...

  • Pikmin 3 (It's Pikmin. It will be awesome.)
  • Super Mario Bros. (It doesn't matter what it will be! It shall be mine!)
  • Batman: Arkham City (Already beat the game on X360. It's that good.)
  • NBA 2K13 (Gonna get run over by Derrick Rose when I play as Kobe, but we'll do it together.)
  • Aliens: Colonial Marines (I need a unique shooter experience, and I love the Aliens franchise. Seems like a sure thing.)
  • Rayman Legends (Loved Origins. Love the new art style. Love the NFC idea. No brainer.)

50/50

  • Darksiders II (I just can't get excited about this game. Maybe more footage and cool Wii U features will change my mind.)
  • Killer Freaks from Outer Space (The more they rip off Left4Dead, the more interested I'll become.)

I'll probably only get a couple of games at launch, but I'll aim for Aliens, Batman, Rayman, and Mario assuming they're all available within the first few months, and then I might get Darksiders (need to play the first one though) and Killer Freaks, plus anything unannounced that I'd want.

They will probally have a trailer ala 2006 when they showed off Smash brothers: Brawl but it didn't come out until much later.

I agree about Platinum being a good fit for Starfox, plus we know they're interested. Kamiya could direct and Treasure could lend a hand if PG is currently understaffed due to other projects.

But who could do F-Zero justice?

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

If Wii U gets two years of third party support on that level, even if no more 3rd party games are released after that I think I'll still have enough quality titles to add to my library to last the entire generation.
