Let's discuss Retro Studios here, specifically, their new project for the Wii U. What would you like it to be, and why.

Eternal Darkness 2

Western Style 1st person shooter

Third person shooter

Star Fox

Metroid Prime 4

Star Fox + Metroid crossover

F-Zero remodeled into a fighting/racing hybrid

SO wii all now that Retro's next game is coming to the Wii U, and that it will probably appeal to the mature crowd. I personally think that it will be a completely new IP, that has a twist  as far as gameplay goes. NIntendo cloning COD wouldn't make sense, and it would just compete with KIller Freaks, among other games. Eternal Darkness 2 sounds ridiculous (Why would Retro work on that?). Star Fox was hinted at by a Nintendo magazine, but that series is all but dead. That leaves the crazy F-Zero rumor, which I got off of GAF, and Metroid. Metroid would be a good system seller on the Wii U, but the Prime series is finished. 

I really, really hope that Rumour for The Metroid/Starfox Saga is not true.

IaA, I suggest you change the Title to, "Let's Talk Retro... Studios" or something like that. Might bring more people in.

I don't want to see the Starfox/Metroid rumor come true. I'd love to see them do a Metroid OR Starfox game though. Of course I'd rather see them work on a new IP, but that will never happen.

Either star fox or metroid should be amazing, but not together, but who knows maybe Retro will surprise us with a really good game. I imagine Peppy saying to Samus "Do a barrel roll"...

I hope that the Metroid/Star Fox rumor is true. I don't know why so many people are against it. It will be a difficult game to pull off, but if anyone could pull it off it would be Retro.

I'd buy any game Retro makes, they haven't let me done so far. Though from those choices, I'd like to see a new IP the most. I really don't want them be the developers that continually resurrect forgotten franchises.

I'm sure whatever they are working on will end up being amazing. I would like them to take on Zelda or Star Fox, but I would prefer them to make a new F Zero game first. They could do a great job with it.
