I enjoyed the game. It definitely wasn't like previous Metroid games, and I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the others, but I still liked it.

I loved the game. I think the controls could have been done better another way, but the game was still a lot of fun.

No, its not based on motion at all.

The controls are classes NES style and then you point at the screen when you want to convert to a first person point of view to shoot at stuff. By better controls, I would have set it up to be more wii-style with a nunchuk just to eliminate having to move from sideways to pointer.

However, over 90% of the time you are just holding it NES style and playing a 2Dish based game.

It is worth bucks. I hated it. It is extremely simple gameplay that mainly is just hitting the a button a crap load. the switching from 2d to 3d is so meaningless. Stupid scavenger hunts looking for some stupid dot on the screen (you will know what I mean when you play it).

No backtracking needed whatsoever, no thinking required. Easy... doesn't look pretty, and music is unforgettable. Oh yeah the biggest thing, the cinematics are stupid, story stupid, and the whole narrative of samus is god damn annoying. I don't know where to even start. I only finished it because I love Metroid Prime enough to give it a fair chance. Awful game imo
