Forums - Sports Discussion - Manchester has a title at last!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently, Man U's starting 11 in the last 3 games cost more than Man City's.

Ive not done the maths though... But people putting City down for spending mobey are silly.

Rooney.
Young
Ferdinand.
Nani
Smalling
Evra
De Gea
Evans
Carrick
Valencia
Hernandez

Thats just off the top of my head... City arent the only ones who spend Millions upon Millions.

SCUM U with no major honours this season....... marvellous.

Well done Man City.

City is an artificial team created with petro dollars just like Chelsea.

yay!!!

it was so boring having United getting the title every single year...

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Chelsea has long since shown that it's not about spending money anymore and some of their most stable important players (Terry and Lampard mainly) have been there since well before they became Chelski. They were guilty of it but not on the scale of Man City.

Man City are a small Premiership Club with money. I can't think of many of their entire squad that has been at the club since before they were bought out.

But then who am I to say anything, due to a nice Swiss billionnaire, Southampton are the 6th richest club in the country.... that sells all their good youth players.

Hmm, pie.

Celebrating a team like Manchester City is just wrong.

You'd rather Manchester Utd win it? Loco!

I have Mancunian blood and most people from Manchester (or have affiliations with Manchester) support Manchester City.

I'm sure like, many, we'd all love our own team to win it. But Manchester United does seem to be the 'next favourite' for many football fans (unless you are a Liverpool or Man City fan obviously). So out of the 2 many want the well built success of Man U to do well, not the bought success of Man City.

Man City fought back well from a game they should have won to win a title they should have had set in the bag. I do hope Man City can sell out their home games next season though, unlike this.

Hmm, pie.

hilarious.

I love how younger people think that football started when the premier league was formed...

Younger people? Cute.

Southampton's only real trophy success was in 1976 in the FA cup, we've waited for success just like the rest of you. Man City are not a stable Premiership Club, relegated twice since it started, they weren't even a stable First Division club when it was the top flight. They weren't even in Premiership 10 years ago. They are not a Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. They are not even an Tottenham or Aston Villa. I'm glad Man City have found the success they (the fans) deserve just wish they'd earned it the hard way. Newcastle I'd say has done better then any other club this season.

I'd say the same thing about Newcastle and or Fulham if they were bought out, spend a lot of money to win the league. At least you are a Premiership club and not a Championship club like Saints. I know our limitations, we've been promoted twice in 2 years and our team needs changing to adapt to Premiership football against the likes of Chelsea and Man U.

Hmm, pie.

I know why Kowenicki likes Manchester City, because of Noel Gallagher! :)

Well, It was an incredible season ending. Congratulation to them...and to Mancini, too. Yeah, it's an artificial team, and I don't like this way to run a football team, because it takes away a sort of "magic", but in order to win you need good players, and if you want to win in little time you must buy a lot of them.

Yes, but to be fair, Manchester United were only able to buy those players due to the success they had with homegrown talent in the 90s, with players such as Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, the Nevilles, Brown, Butt, etc... As well as some later players like Fletcher, Evans, Welbeck, O'shea and so on.

Without reading the thread I bet the consense was:

RANDALE, BAMBULE, DORTMUND HAT DAS DOUBLE!
