It's amazing United ran City so close for the title when probably only 2 or 3 united players would get in the city 11.

On a side note......

Okay, but Salford is in the Greater Manchester area so I don't see a problem. I support them because when I was growing up they had some of the best and most prominent players in the world. I know a few things of their history, but obviously not all, because frankly I am not that much into football. I follow it for enjoyment, and United has provided me with the most enjoyment of the English clubs.

It's not weird to support clubs from other countries when most of the teams in your own country suck big time. Why should I want to follow lesser football instead?

lol... I rest my case.

What case?

So the are different from City after all. Their success is based on good management, not purely pockets full of money

Like always you seem to hate on United for no reason at all. How can you not be bitter, if you're a United fan and the title slips away like it did here, during the final minutes. It's a normal reaction. What do you mean by United not being a Manchester club?

do you support Man U?

I "support" them as in they are my favourite team but I am not a fanatic. And I do not really care about the geographical placements of the clubs. So, could you answer the question now?

like many United "fans" and "supporters" you know nothing of the local history, local rivalries and national rivalries.

Utd is in Trafford, in the city of Salford.  Why are United your favourite team?  I will never understand someone that supports a team outside of the area they come from let alone the country in which they live... weird...

I hate man U for very good reasons revolving around my entire life living in the area and supporting a different smaller club from the same area.

You will never understand someone that supports a team from outside of the area? Maybe people move? Why should it matter where they live?  If they support a team it doesn't make a difference as to where they live. I support Leeds and I live in London and I am a fanatic Leeds fan. Are u going to question my support because I don't live in Leeds?

no you have an affinity with the club... thats fine.

what i cant stand is people that support a big successful club because they are big and successful.

where is the connection, the real feelings of passion in that?

.

Just saying that United are going strong due to their history, fan base and healthy revenues, as evidenced from this survey.

Saw the last 20 minutes of the match. Very exciting in the end but overall another loss for football after Inter's triple in 2010.
