The Gamecube was aimed at children?


ACtually there were a lot of Big 3rd party games on the GC. Anyone Remember Eternal Darkness? That was far from a kids game.

Or Killer Seven. And Resident Evil was supposed to be an exclusive (i think)

Eternal Darkness was 2nd party, published by Nintendo themselves (the first M rating for them). There was great 3rd party support for a while in the begining, and plenty of M rated games, but that doesnt mean Nintendo didnt market the console as a "kid-safe PS2".
