NPD is really for publishers / retailers to know how their competition is doing...why track a game only sold from outlet if you are NPD? Only Gamestop & Nintendo care about Xenoblade

I don't think that the SW HW bundles have been counted by NPD, so 360 might be or less on target with the NPD. PS3 looks to be slightly overtracked unless Wii dropped below 100k.

Eh? NPD track HW bundles but doesnt count SW for it.

Strange, I thought it didn't count the HW either, in that case overtracked all around.

Man they be some dire 360 numbers right there. Looks another month where the numbers are over-tracked across the board then. If 360 did pretty much 50% of the market then thats say 240k-250k between Wii and PS3. Considering Wii did 175k last month you can't really say it is under 100k, I think that is unlikely. I'd hazard a guess 115k for the Wii and 135k for the PS3. Either way both are nearly 100k overtracked.
VGC not doing too well with the ps3 numbers recently, any idea why that is?

So about 500k total sold on consoles.

360 - 236K
Wii + PS3 - 264K

I'm guessing 174k PS3, 90K Wii.

Must likely this is correct, when does Nintendo their numbers usually?

Because the last few years it's constantly been undertracked, so now to likely compensate for the price cut effect they're giving it a slightly enlarged numbers(closer to 360) which seems to be putting them too high.

I'm sure XSEED and many other smaller publishers would be interested in the Xenoblade numbers. There's got to be a better reason.

So 360 under 40K and the rest over ?

what a shitty month

NO, VGC has 360 at 286k and PS3 at 221k

What bothers me is how bad software tracking has been, and it is particular to some franchises (no console fanboy involved). This site gives absolutely no respect for MLB the show, there where huge adjustments made last month after the game charted #3. If you take into consideration that the Vita version sells very small numbers (compared to the PS3 version), and that the numbers #7 on the chart (Mario Party 9) sold 230k, we have MLB selling 224k on the month of March.

In April we see all kinds of games selling more then MLB, and for some odd reason NPD has it as the #10 selling game, with it maybe being top 9 individual sku in March

It seems like 3DS this month may be under 150,000 this month based on how 3DS is tracking against DS through 14 months...

Again I don't think Wii would be under 100k. As mentioned it did 175klast month, the month before that was something like 220k. I think it is pretty unlikely to see the console drop nearly 50% month over month. I could be wrong but that would make it the worst month it has ever had by quite some distance. The numbers year over year are down quite a bit but for the same month last year the wii did 172k.
