Sony is launching a new PlayStation 3 bundle later this year that includes a copy of Modern Warfare 3.

The bundle launches on May 25 and includes a copy of the game and a 320GB PlayStation 3 System.

It costs $299.

Sony did the same bundle this late for Black OPs last year. 

No, it doesn't mean the MS deal is over.

This bundle should really boost American sales for a few weeks though.

Can you show us the numbers of PS3 on the week before and after the bundle release? Would be great! :D

Ya itll prolly do pretty well. I cant think of another online shooter psn players would play? maybe uncharted 3? but i play on xbox so im not sure.

I think MW3 was the last game in the exclusive deal. Unless MS has extended this deal.

Pretty underwhelming bundle overall, but Modern Warfare 3 (PS3) now has the potential to outsell the 360 version.

A bundle of COD with the slim PS3 makes sense to me. It was mentioned this was done last year as well. There must be some reason Sony waits this long to initiate the bundle, it must be something contractual with Microsoft/Activision.

COD is THE biggest game now, any time of year- a bundle like this makes sense. I just wish Sony would in some way make it a special bundle instead of it simply being the system and the game for $300.

Give the console a custom MW3 skin, or a custom controller. Include all of the DLC for free or even a custom branded controller. Throw in a mic for online play, (any online shooter/ console bundle should have this imo)

Sony needs to do this, a large segment of the market clamors for collectors bundles. As is there is nothing special about the COD MW3 bundle Sony will be offering.

With that said, It is still a great move, and should continue the relative success of the PS3 and the PS3 version of MW3.
