@nikkom sorry but itz not logical to extrapolate from anecdotal evidence.
Hilarious how its so easy to have a logical siutation that isnt true, yet noone so far can put forward one.

lol..  you know I was joking about it.. anyway isn't it more logical that we just don't have data on Chile, india, South Africa, Czech Republic, Poland,  Brazil, Russia, UAE, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Colombia, Mexico where the 360 is officially sold and the grey import in China then 1 big MS warehouse were they secretly store hunderds of thousands 360s

MS stuff the supply chain by shipping a lot of xbox 360s to their own store..massive assertion from some people on this forum. Shame they got no facts to back that up. PS3 overtracked, clearly.

I know you're not much for following the track of the conversation and just flaming specific points you disagree with, but let me set you straight.

I believe the PS3 is overtracked by up to 500k.

However, that has literally nothing to do with MS (not "stuffing the supply chain" Mr. straw man) shipping many consoles to their own stores in preparation for this "price test".

Again, I also stated that it wasn't a fact, but is a logical possibility. It has the motivation, the capability, and the situation fits it quite well. That being said, it could still be wrong. But since we have no way of knowing without specific word from above, I prefer to speculate on where these consoles are because what is fun to me is figuring out what is going on. Not sitting back and talking shit about others for asking questions. Derp.

Stupid speculation paraded around like a fact. Why would they only "price test" on their own stores, when majority of 360s are sold via other retailers. And no one is talking shit about you, just your shitty speculations.

You have a bad attitude and are condescending.

What are you talking about "price test" at their own stores? Listen to your fellow bots, bayuum, they all said the same thing.

Hah, you can talk. I just look at your post history and sigh. And @ bold, I just lol.

IF ms is preparing for this "price-test", the majority of any increase shipment will be to other retailers where most of the 360's are moved/sold to consumers. Not to only 17 or so MS stores.

But at the end of the day, it is your speculation, it doesn't matter how naive or stupid it is.

The $99 subscription XBox360 deal is exclusive to Microsoft stores only, so they wouldn't ship extra consoles for possible increased demand to anywhere but their own stores.

This is what the discussion is about right? He is talking about how MS may have shipped extra consoles to their own warehouses in the event that the deal brings in more demand than expected? Wouldn't want to start up a new deal and get caught without enough stock.

Been reading and am getting confused about this "price test" and talks about other retailers.

It was a big discussion that got out of hand, I questioned the disperance in consoles on shelves numbers between the PS3 and 360 and how some Sony fans would think that it's a normal amount at 400k whereas 1.9m 360 shelves is perfectly fine. That triggered the whole prof theory, it's possible on paper, however very out of character. He had a point with a somewhat plausible theory(Although highly unlikely) until he started flaming.

Yeah I saw that. Just wondered why it got so out of hand when it was fairly simple to understand what his argument was.

He was also stating that he felt PS3 was overtracked by at least 500k, so it wasn't like he was one sided.

Probably the reason why I avoid such threads.

He's like that in mafia games, so figures that a prolonged argument went that awry way. He got into character too well there.

I usually tend to avoid these thrads too, unless of course they provide entertainment value.

Well that was in ample supply here.

No, he said that it could be overtracked by up to 500k. That's a big difference.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Sorry I said some horribly hurtful things. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings, thing just happened so quickly and in the end I hurt a lot of people with what I said.

Also, I'm also sorry for flaming.
