Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA product manager says Black Ops II "looks tired"

I am not the biggest fan of CoD, but i do not dislike it either, but the trailer really looked crappy to me.. like a fanmade video of someone who only had the game for a day and tried to make the best out of it. (while the previous ones always had something cool, even if it was pure destruction, it was always pretty well presented.)

I'm a Foreigner, and as such, i am grateful for everyone pointing out any mistakes in my english posted above - only this way i'll be able to improve. thank you!

I know I'm tired of the PR sniping between EA and Activision that's for sure.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

In some ways, yes it does. For one thing, it is blatantly obvious from the trailer than they are still using the same engine, which doesn't hold a candle to the other more modern ones such as Frostbite 2.0, CryEngine 3, and others such as AnvilNext, RAGE and the Unreal Engine 3. Its is Activision's development strategy which allows them to push out a new game each year without running into major problems if they haven't already, they could really do with getting a team together to develop a new engine, just so its in the pipeline.

They want to keep the 60FPS, so there isn't much they can do to improve the graphics.

How many people can actually see the difference between 60 FPS and 30 FPS? Personally would go for a more visual upgrade. Partly why I have Battlefield 3 (no, I will not be getting Warfighter).

More than you think.

Regardless, I was not impressed with the trailer and am tired of the series overall anyway..... Since COD4 I would say.

Touché...

Can't wait for the apologetic follow up tweet saying he was taken out of context. That's my favorite part about EA.

Twitch shooters need to be 60fps not 30. On PC you can adjust graphics setting to get the smoothness but on consoles you have no choice.
