Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Q&A with Resident Evel 5 producer about a possible Wii version

I am not too sure that there's still an audience for the sequel of the game on the Wii and that's why we don't consider a Wii version at this point in time.

A: Well yes, the Wii's success is mostly based on its controller and casual games, the cheap price of the system is another big factor to make people want to buy the system.

hardcore titles like No More Heroes bomb and 3rd party games like our own Zak & Wiki generally don't seem to sell on the Wii.

I think the people buying it are the last hardcore gamers left on the Wii who haven't moved over to the 360 and PS3 completely yet. Casual games and minigame collections seem to be the games selling the most on the Wii.

Q: So what you are trying to say is ...?

A: I blame Wii Fit.

1, 2 and 3 quote: ok so there was an audience for resident evil 4, umbrella chronicles(both milion sellers from capcom and resident evil franchise), metroid prime 3, red steel, fire emblem, medal of honor heroes 2, manhunt 2 but now everyone who owns those games and many other just disappeared? so many 3rd party developers can still be making wii games for hardcore audience(high voltage, ubisoft, ea), and still can sell them, but when capcom is making a wii hardcore game the same audience just disappeared? man they're like david copperfield - it's magic!

4 quote: is it a joke or every 3rd party developer will start to blame wii fit? did they read vgchartz?
