Forums - General Discussion - Blu-Ray or BRD?!?

So now that Blu-Ray has basically won the war, what do you think we'll be calling their discs in the future? I just can't grasp us to keep using the word Blu-Ray the way we use it everyday, ya know? Like "Pass me that DVD or let's buy some DVDs" So how do you think we'll be referring to Blu-Ray discs in the future once they become common?

What are you looking at, nerd?

BRD's sound good.

I would assume BD or BRD since most people don't even know for sure how BluRay is supposed to be written (myself included >_>).

...i would just go by the name of the movie

well since the discs are BD-RE (forget name for other) it would be jsut BD.

I would just say had me the Blu-ray disc or BRD.

For me Blu Ray rolls off the tongue better than BRD.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

BRD works best for me.

People will call them....DVDs.

How can I make this claim?

People still buy records and albums...

 BD-Rom?  I think?

Either way, I've been calling them BDs on forums like HighDefDigest, AVS, and Blu-Ray.com for a while now.
