Clearly this wouldn't of been done if it wasn't for the success of the Nintendo series, but crossover fighters and "brawl" style fighters were done before super smash brothers, so this isn't entirely Nintendos idea to begin with. It's a little more mature, has different gameplay elements and design choices and is funnier from what I've heard.

Sorry but saying everything is identical apart from the characters is just plain wrong. You've got the clash of artstyles in arenas to represent different franchises, a very different health and combat system and a load of other minor changes throughout the game.

I never understood why people say this

Mature = More gore, darker sense of humour. (Mature in gaming terms basically) edit: and the art style for many of the characters, most if not all Nintendo characters look cartoonish, many playstation characters have realistic or sortof in-between looks if that makes sense.

That's from what I've heard.

The AP bar kills this game for me, this might take way a lot of the diversity that th smb series had respect kills, combacks, and will probably make the game less competitive than brawl.

Displeasure? No, might be a good game in its own merits. Dissapointed? yes, i was expecting something fresh and original for a fighting game that got sony's ips as roster, instead i got a weird clone of smb with a bad name.

There will be other modes as well.

I am offended by this game's very existence.

*Wait! That's not my line!*

BTW OP, the game is called Playstation All-Stars, not "Sony All-Stars"

I was refering to this game since gore and dark humor are almost non existant.

Maybe not gore, the humour is there, it's not been shown to the public. (heard about it on a podcast with game critics who've seen and played it behind closed doors). Also, the artstyle of characters. I edited the post that you replied to, read it again please :)

Until now there's only time limit and stocks.the devas are making this mechanic its main difference form smb, so i doubt they will put anything to replace it. The fact that you apparently cant die form falling of the stage is also too forgiving.

Game doesn't have any blood as far as I've seen. No gore definetly. Only charcters from M rated franchises(Killzone and God of War to note). If they want a T rating then they'll have to cut blood(or have small amounts of it) and gore out.

I dont think the art style itself means the game is mature, usually when you make a mature game you choose an art style that works witht those mature tones. If those mature tones dont exist tha art style itself its out of place, it doesnt make the game mature at all. If all the art style of the game were like killzone or GoW then i would agree that the game looks mature but itself wouldnt make the game mature.

The game itself is supposed to be for everyone.(I'm guessing Rated T like Smash Bros)

No, the game itself itsn't mature, but the characters included in it, come from mature game titles.
