I've seen some pretty controversial topics around this site recently so I figured this was fair game.

Recently did some acid and had a crazy ass trip.  Not a life changing trip like a lot of people who do it seem to talk about, but a very introspective one.  I'd basically just like to open up the topic for people to talk about meaning behind their trips.

My trip meant a lot in the moment, escpecially in terms of getting in touch with nature and being outside.  And of course guitar playing was extremely mind blowing, like I was communicating with spirits.  But the next day I seem to not be able to relate to those feelings nearly as much, some people do however.  Figure this is enough to get the topic started...

WTF?! I don't even smoke weed. Whiskey / Vodka is fine for me. But you do realise you are getting old when you drink alcohol (2 / 3 drinks) without the need to get drunk.

There is a risk forsure. Luckily I had a failed attempt (shitty acid) a year ago. So when I tried it foreal this time I was totally comfortable which leads to a good trip where there is greatly diminished risk of screwing up your brain. But I totally respect someone not trying it for reasons as such.

I'm not a big drinker or weed smoker. I just hate the hangover of getting drunk, though sometimes you can avoid that with a good breakfast, green tea, and some exercise the next day.

I get tired of these threads since I have answered drug threads many times over my three years here.

But yes I did it as a youth about 4 times never really hard though. It was not mind changing, but I remember looking at grass and seeing it like an ocean of green and having to got work too early in which everyone knew and laughed mostly because many of them had done it themselves in the 70s or 80s. I also remember making increadible tracers with incense and cigarettes with my friends.

I prefer shrooms by far as they have given me way more intense visuals and mind altering experiences like smelling flowers and fruit and seeing various colorful hallucinations depending on the different item smelled. Though I believe both should be tried by all, I still think they should only be experimented with. I have done neither in a long time.

And no Ryan you cannot get addicted to LSD, but it can make you go insane.

Yes I had quite a few (25+) trips in my life not just LSD but Mescaline/Shrooms too.

I live a happy and stable life free from insecurities that will drive me to use any form of drug.

Right and Wrong is subjective and hallucinogenic drugs have been done for spiritual proposes since the beginning of time. I only believe people should experience many things and hallucinogenic drugs are usually not physically addictive therefore I consider them more benign when used rarely than being harmful in the long term.

Knowledge is power, and when it come to facts on drugs most people know none.

You cant go on a trip everyday. It wont work. LSD is not this kind of drug where you want more immediatly after. And even if you wanted it wouldnt work every day.

Nah not LSD. Smoked a bit of weed when i was in my teens. Won't touch any of that stuff now though. I've seen my cousin fuck up his life on drugs. He's been arrested several times, jailed, and sectioned under the mental health act too. It's a shame because he was a smart kid before.
