1 God of War game made for PS3 this gen. That is hardly "milked".

How can you possibly hate Kratos? I can get if you "dislike him" or somethinb but "HATE" is a strong word.


the guy cares about nobody but himself, basically doomed humanity just because of his ego !

Woulda been more interested if they went with a new character!

 

o- and theres basically only been 1 true halo game released on 360, the rest have been just prequals or side missions.....you know!

Spin offs still count....the only one you can ignore is Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary.

Why is everyone so obssesed in changing the mythology in God of War??!! WTF?!!   If they make a game based on other mythology it should be a new IP.

And GOW is not getting milked, there will be only 2 entries for the PS3 (collections dont count), while COD is getting 7 games this generation.


lol if GOW isn't milked then neither is halo. How many GOW's are there anyway? im guessing at least 5-7

But you can't count the collections are PS3 games and say "there's been 5 God of War games on PS3!"

You don't say there's been 4 Metal Gear games on PS3 do you? NO. The HD Collection doesn't count.

No. Not only a sequel to the main series is counted as a true game. There are going to be 4 Halo games on 360 by the end of 2012. (not counting ODST and Anniversary) There are going to be 2 GOW games on PS3 by the end of 2013 (not counting HD collections)... Only a unique game is counted

Well MS doesnt have a handheld to give their Halo games to. so we might as well count how many games of each the has been this gen as it is only right.

The has been 3 Gow games this gen, and 3 Halo FPS games this gen. at the end of the gen the will be 4 each.

Anyway like i already said both series have not been milked, so can we give this a rest now?. And just be happy we are getting a new Gow -_-


MS has Games for Windows...but that doesn't matter, i was talking about PS360 only

I know God of War is not getting "milked" in that regard like CoD... what I'm trying to say is that making a new god of war game for the sake of making a god of war game is pretty bad. I want god of war to be remembered for how great they are and not how non-sensical and mediocre it was. (Kinda like tomb raider now, hence the re-boot).

Also changing the mythology isn't a bad thing at all. Whats gonna happen to the series in the future ? Ascension, and then maybe an Epilogue to God of War III to close out Kratos' story. Afterwards, Sony can't afford to let the series die and bringing Kratos back again, and fighting the same minotaurs and cyclopses again would cause franchise fatigue to the point that most people would lose interest.

It makes business sense to start a NEW trilogy of God of War with NEW enemies and NEW gods and NEW mythologies. Things are kept fresh, we get the gameplay we love, and the God of War brand name will drive sales rather than building things from scratch for a new IP. So it makes business sense too while preventing the franchise from lingering on the the depths of mediocrity. So its a win for us gamers, win for Sony and win for the developers too. Everyones happy.

And that has anything to do with it?. The still only has been 3 Halo FPS games this gen (Not including Hd versions of old games) and 3 GoW games this gen.  Why are you even keeping this up?. unless your trying to say one of the 2 is being milked, when its clear both of them are not....

Actually GoW franchise will be one of the few who will only release 2 games this gen on consoles.
