I've made this prediction a few times and I've even made the one about the PS3 surpassing the Wii in million sellers which very few people believed and now it seems as though it's become more and more obvious the Ps3 will take over the gen in million sellers.

Current state

PS3 141
Wii 135
X360 146
PSP 52
DS 123

Two years ago the PS3 was at 62 million sellers and the Wii was at 84. Not sure for X360 two years ago but last year it was at 134 million, slowed down big time. Doubtful it'll ever reach its big brother the PS2 with a whopping 325 million sellers, and a very goodchance that numbers higher, VG Chartz can't track them all.

Just my opinion really on the amount of games coming out that will sell 1M+ on both platforms, I don't see Sony having enough big exclusives that are going to push them over 360's amount of million sellers.

Funny you'd like a explaination from the person disagreeing with you, and not the ones agreeing with you.

Only because its so obvious the PS3 is going to do it, it had like 80 million sellers in the last 2 years, a lot more then the X360 and the Wii which was creaming the PS3 two years ago.

Let's try something reasonable. Make up a list of all the games that are coming out on the X360 that you think will sell a million or more and I'll come out with a list of all Ps3 games, and we will see if we or others agree with our list just to get an idea of how many more million sellers each console left to come out. Fair enough?

I believe it will do it! How many more million sellers has the PS3 had over the last few years compared to the 360 and Wii?

Didn't we have a thread a while ago arguing that the most 1 million sellers isn't a good judge of software.

Not saying I agree to it but I remember a very lengthy thread about it.

Ouch man, linking to old predictions threads on this site certainly can embarass some people...I guess that's the nature of rival predictions though, right, somebody has got to lose out :) 

I'm still not sure myself, it may just eek it out if we finally get to see some of those elusive exclusives this year or next. Waiting for your list!
