Mario Kart seems to have had a bit of a drop, though it's the only one of the big three without a bundle. 3DS should probably have a boost next week from FE and wow, Vita after holding on to 10k for awhile is just falling now.

Anyway, it's now 4/19 here in Japan (past midnight), so I went to my the 24hr Geo about 5 minutes walk from my apartment and picked up Fire Emblem since they start selling new games at midnight, hehe. Surprisingly I wasn't the only one there. A guy/girl couple picked up the game as well a black 3DS console and another guy had the game pre-ordered. I didn't pre-order as there was no pre-order bonus for FE, so there wasn't really any need to pre-order. I did catch a glance at the box full of pre-ordered copies and there were quite a few in there, which was surprising since this store isn't that big.

It will probably end up being second among Japanese Handheld sales of this franchise. As we have seen with operation rainfall, real sales come to games after they leave Japan. Just wait! My first sentence, if you could call it that, was a mouthful!

BBS sold close to million with final tuning in Japan so those really are bomba level sales fo franchise. I actually doub that this will outsell 358/days either so it will be the least sold handheld entry (if you don't count coded that was cell phone port...). We will see how this does in west.

Persona 4 will

What did Tales sell again? Wasn't it less than 100k? Persona 4 has a good shot at 100k+, looking at COMG.

That cartridge art is really ace! But anyway, any local observations about Code of Princess?

Sorry was playing a bit of Fire Emblem for about an hour. Anyway, I don't think I noticed CoP at that store actually. It might have been there, but I was really focused on Fire Emblem. it was midnight so the store was exactly packed. I'll check out another later as I'm still thinking about whether to pick up Code of Princess as well.
