Maybe FF7 remake is coming to Wii. Cloud's memories are part lost and part corrupted.
Seeing how many remakes DS is getting, Squeenix may want to apply the same formula on Wii.
Sony fans will rip their hearts out if this is true.

That would be THE megaton of the year. Nothing would beat it. Even FF13 as a Wii exclusive wouldn't be that huge. Don't expect it though.

So we have as options:

Golden Sun / FF7 remake / Raven Blade / Monolith RPG / Suikoden VI / KH 3 / Skies of arcadia 2 / Chrono Trigger / Earthbound / DQ9 /

wow surfer girl was right about the title of the sonic rpg.

On the topic:
Im pretty sure is a rpg frome retro.

Final Fantasy 14 is completly out of the question. They already said they intend 13 to be around for several years and have several different games across several different consoles.

man cant wait to see what it is

The "we'd have to erase your memories if we told you" line...

To me it implies that they already announced the game in the past... but perhaps got canceled in production or put on hold, could be a a remake too. Following RPG's come to mind:

- Raven Blade (Retro Studios)

- Mother Earth 3 Wii edition

- Pokemon RPG Wii

- Dragon Quest IX goes to the Wii instead of the DS!!!

That would be superb, a RPG from Retro. Though I doubt it. They finished Metroid3 in August and probably only work on 1 title at the time. Though this project cancelled for GC, so could be made a litter faster than usual.

I still think it has to be a really big franchise if they hype it like this.

Mother is not really big outside Japan, DQ9 on Wii is probably not going to happen, Pokemon would be a serious let down for me.

Golden Sun: Camelot recently said they wanted to make it, Chrono: Probably the biggest RPG announcement one can make (except for FF and DQ).

Actually mother is big in the old school RPG circles.. they didn't say they'd make -gamers- cry they said RPG fans and thats one of the few titles I know would b ring tears to many eyes. Unless the "Make you cry" part is illuding to a title and not general popularity. P.S. Pokemon RPG.. is retarded to say because just about ALL pokemon games are RPG's...

Personally, I hope for a sequel to Chrono Trigger, FF6 or FF7 (full remakes), a new game in the Mother series, a Golden Sun game, or KH3.

If it really is that huge, and it has something to do with memory loss, it would most likely be one of the Final Fantasy games, since Terra loses her memory in FF6 and Cloud's memory is messed up in FF7. But they also talk about how they might have already gone back and erased their memories. This could be talk about Chrono Trigger, since it involved time travel.

I'm betting it's a second-party game. Squeenix have stated that they don't have anything in development for the Wii aside from the FF:CC games and Chocobo's Dungeon, Konami seems content to keep its Playstation-line mostly-exclusivity, and Namco-Bandai already has two Wii games announced.

Now, a big surprise would be if it were a Capcom game...

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

I don't know of any really big Capcom RPG's. Besides Monster Hunter 3 is already coming Wii-side.

There were rumours about Konami's Suikoden VI though, and Konami must show something on Wii soon to not miss the opportunity completely.

2nd party can only be Retro and Monolith.
