I'm still amazed that they could shrink it in just 40MB, it wasn't huge, but it wasn't a small game, either.

From 400 MB to 40 MB.

But that still doesn't compare to what Angel Studios (now known as RockStar San Diego) did for Resident Evil 2 on the N64.   From 1.2 GB's to 64 MB.

No; remember, RE2 was two discs on the Playstation.

The Playstation Store download of the game is around 750MB.  So to shrink that to one 64MB cartridge is quite a feat.

Sal isn't referencing what the game's size was on the PS1, but the N64.

The N64 version was indeed on a 512 Mbit cartridge which is the same as 64 MB.

Ahh, you're right (sorry, Sal).  My fault for not noticing the lower case "mb".

did the game come out in all regions (ie Australia)? I just moved to a new state and my wii isn't with me yet to check.

It came out in North America, but not Europe/Australia or Japan.

Indeed it was but as noted in previous posts now, 64 MB and 512 Mb are the same thing.    Technology units of measure can be such a pain in the ass.   At least we aren't trying to mix in MiB and Mib.
