I understand what you are saying about the judge appointment. It is no more than opinion and I dissagree with it but there is no need to step out of the box to make rediculous claims like your earlier post. I was not offended, but thanks for apologizing.
So you believe it is better to punish the baby before it has done anything? There are other means that can be taken to lower crime rates. Abortion is to radical of a answer in my opinion. |
For abortion it depends on your religion mostly i'd say. Well and your stance on existance. I'll assume you're christian but if you are of another religion feel free to correct me.
I once thought that everyone would rather exist then not. I found out that i was actually quite in the minority, and that when given the choice between something like a non-ending hell and nonexistance most chose non-existance. To many people, being "punished" before being born seems preferable than being born in a poor hell and given up to the broken adoption and foster system we currently have. A majority of people i'd say based on what i've seen.
Before any changed on the abortion law can be made at first i'd say the foster and adoption system needs to be fixed. Although abortion is an imperfect solution for an imperfect problem anyway, as most abortions could be prevented through people just not being stupid, and even just using birth control.
After that it depends on your choice of when life starts and what happens however. If you believe aborted babies have souls... what happen to those souls when they die. As a christian they can't except christ, theoreitcally anyway, but god would really let those who were not even born go to hell through no choice of their own? If so, does this mean retarded people, stillborns, miscarriges and the like are also fated to hell because of these random circumstances?
If not and they do go to heaven, is it not better this way, in which they have a 100% chance of going to heaven instead of having an amazingly high chance of becoming a criminal and likely one of the damned?
