Oh, and the war of course is totally unecessary too. 9/11 didn't really happen, and the terrorists actualy thought we were totally okay and wanted to send us all puppies until Bush declared war on them, it wasn't until then that they started to try to kill people.

God, I love logic.

You're right, because Saddam Hussein attacked New York and Washington on 9/11/01. His secular regime was in total alignment with the fundamentalist goals of al-qaida, that's why Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden have always been great buddies. Also, they're both Arabs, so they must be in alignment. That's also why al-qaida in iraq existed before 2003. Also, we have discovered WMDs in Iraq, freed the Iraqi people of tyranny and now it is a democracy thanks to us. Mission accomplished!

Those are just a few of the things people will believe if they watch too much fox news.

i wasn't really putting much effort into that last post i did so sorry if i offended you..

But the main thing i'm saying is that the laws we've been working for for the last few decades will be overturned. Even if he appoints a non-radical conservative judge, the laws will be in favor of the conservatives.

To me, this means a society of more intolerance. for example, No gay rights.

and a society of less innovation. for example, No stem cell research.

and then theres abortion. Like it or not, abortion pushed the crime levels down in the 1990's, because two decades before the 1990's was Roe VS Wade. The children who would've been born, weren't. The majority of women who seek abortion aren't rich. They are mainly of the lower class, and face it, people in this country weren't born equal. If you were born into the lower class, you're public schools around you aren't as good, you probably don't have health care, etc.

the crime level didn't go down because of the fact that there were more policemen. The crime rate was already dropping when a lot more policemen began to be hired.

The booming economy wasn't why crime decreased either. The 60's were a time of economic strength, comparable to the 90's, but the crime rate was horrible back then.

banning abortion would be horrible for the future of this country IMHO.

^ Oh please like they care wheether they attack us on US soil, its about gaining support, and us being there has gained more support for them than any 9/11 could, no once we leave their support dries up.

Fatalities are downbut so what people are still dying and still being wounded in addition we are losing billions over there, and our reason for remaining, it doesn't matter if we lose 1 or 1 million, if we are wasting our time, our money and letting people get injured and killed then its a waste, better to leave and focus on our own problems

So what if there is three or three hundred factions, if they want to fight then let them, we can't be responsible for the world, we need to focus on ourselves first, the region will take care of itself.

No you are of the idea that if we leave the middle east will fall to Alqaeda and then they will attack us with pakistani nukes, that's ridiculous

There is a HUGE Difference between being attacked on US soil than on theres. They want to attack us if we are there or not.  If we leave then the Attacks will come to us.  If they dint care about attacking us on our land then 9/11 owuld of never of happend.  Same with London and Spain.

Once we leave the declare victory and we look weak.  More support for them

Last time we let the World solve its prolem there were 2 WW.  We are the Only world Super Power and if you like it or not we are invloved in the World.  It is the Role of the Super Power to do so.  It will never change.  When America is no longer the world Super Power another Nation will step up.  It will always be like that.  So better try to be involved and have a positive change on the world because we will be involved no matter what.  Economicaly, militarily, and socialy.

The next time a WMD goes of it will be from a terrorist organization with nothing to lose.

Not many, it took 10 years for an attack to land on US soil, and we could have stopped it had we been a little more vigilant, there is no need to worry about running out and trying to safeguard the world, we are causing them to gain more support by doing so, just focus on ourselve and reamin vigilant in case something pops up.

And then they fritter it away, before 9/11 they were a dying force, and then after 9/11 came our heavy handed response which gave them a fresh infusion of support, the moderate arab don't like them let them deal with the terrorists which will happen when the terrorists start hurting civilians in their own countries.  You are just trumpeting the drums of fear when you think that they will suddenly grow so powerful if we leave, quite the contrary they will be sealing their own defeat

No there is a difference between Isolationism and minding ourselves, most nations don't try to be the world's police, but they remain commited to things like globalization, our actions in the 1920's and 1930's was to cut off globalization and stop trading, this helped set up the economic ills that made a breeding ground for guys like Hitler, we need to remain commited to globalization, and let the world change on its own

Well I live in a pretty Democratic area where most people seem to like the Clintons a lot, and they have an intense dislike of Bush. I pretty much fit into that mold. It's just bizzare to most of us that Bill was impeached for an indiscresion, while Bush gets to start unecessary wars, shred the constitution, and do anything and everything he can to help his rich corporate friends. I think hatred of the Clintons is far more irrational than hatred of Bush, but hell I'm just lefty who's voted straight Democrat in every election since I became eligible to vote in 2002.

Cause, y'know, he totally got impeached because he had sex, and not for an actual illegal action, like oh, lying under oath. I'm sure it's just a little thing, after all, he was only lying about sex, what do we care? But if it was something minor like that and he was willing to lie about it, what else was he willing to lie about?

Oh, and the war of course is totally unecessary too. 9/11 didn't really happen, and the terrorists actualy thought we were totally okay and wanted to send us all puppies until Bush declared war on them, it wasn't until then that they started to try to kill people.

Yup there were iraqis in those planes...nope wait there were pakistanis and Saudis on the 9/11 planes, aren't they our allies who we give tons of money too, and don't the pakistanis have nukes...hmmmm

You see this war is total BS

I understand what you are saying about the judge appointment. It is no more than opinion and I dissagree with it but there is no need to step out of the box to make rediculous claims like your earlier post. I was not offended, but thanks for apologizing.

So you believe it is better to punish the baby before it has done anything? There are other means that can be taken to lower crime rates. Abortion is to radical of a answer in my opinion.

For abortion it depends on your religion mostly i'd say.  Well and your stance on existance.  I'll assume you're christian but if you are of another religion feel free to correct me.

I once thought that everyone would rather exist then not.  I found out that i was actually quite in the minority, and that when given the choice between something like a non-ending hell and nonexistance most chose non-existance.  To many people, being "punished" before being born seems preferable than being born in a poor hell and given up to the broken adoption and foster system we currently have.  A majority of people i'd say based on what i've seen.

Before any changed on the abortion law can be made at first i'd say the foster and adoption system needs to be fixed.  Although abortion is an imperfect solution for an imperfect problem anyway, as most abortions could be prevented through people just not being stupid, and even just using birth control.

After that it depends on your choice of when life starts and what happens however.  If you believe aborted babies have souls... what happen to those souls when they die.  As a christian they can't except christ, theoreitcally anyway, but god would really let those who were not even born go to hell through no choice of their own?  If so, does this mean retarded people, stillborns, miscarriges and the like are also fated to hell because of these random circumstances?

If not and they do go to heaven, is it not better this way, in which they have a 100% chance of going to heaven instead of having an amazingly high chance of becoming a criminal and likely one of the damned?

The UN was an attempt to police the world. I believe every recognized nation is part of it. Why did the terrorist tryto attack the UK and Spain if theyhave no involvment in the world. China and Russia are both heavily involved with many countires and have alot of say what happens in them.

"most nations don't try to be the world's police" but every super power ever has. As is the role of the Super Power.

Every Military action follows 2 things. Economic: we attack for economic reasons, Social:we attack for Social reasons.

The more common of the 2 is economic. Were every we are economicaly interested our military isnt to far behind.

All superpowers that try to control the world fall, so should be follw history to our doom or change it to our benefit. Trying to hold other nations is a drain on our economy and a strin on our military, US is in decline either we change while we still can or we end up on the trash heap of history

You do not have the right to choose which babies die and which ones dont. There are tons of baby born in bad situations who prosper. Are you really gonna tell thos e people they dont have the right to live. Some people wish to die than live, they commit suicide but most people do not commit suicide. Even the ones born in bad life still cling to their life. The problem is bad but by ending life to make it so only the ones with good lifes live is like Hittler trying to build a world without jews but this time we get rid of the ones in poverty.

God allows those not able to make their own choice wether or not to except Christ go to heaven. That means babies, children, and the mentally in capable.

God will not punish the babies for our sin but we still should not make that sin even if it may be better for 70/100 babies.

That's weird.  I haven't seen that in the bible anywhere.  I think that's your interpretation of it.  Just like your interpretation when life starts.  I've heard others that have said those that don't choose christ go to hell no mater what.

The Catholics for a long time suggested they went to purgatory.

Truth is, you don't know anything about it, you don't know what god does outside of what you assume he does.  You don't know when life starts, and your argueing from nothing but hopes and guesses.

The USA will fall at some point in time.  The Roman Empire lasted for a very long time I see not reason why we cant last just as long.  We need to make sure we end like the British Empire.  Roman Empire dissapeard the British Empire is still here today but now reffered as the UK.

I believe in the idea: We are Americans 1st, Earthlings 2nd.  We need to look out for us 1st.  We need to remain #1 before we can help others.  We need to help others like Africa.  We differ less than you think.  We both want what best for the USA.  Iraq was a mistake but it was our mistake and we must fix it.  We had vialbe reason to go into Afghanistan I will not apologize for that.  We need to leave the Middle East alone.  Before we can do that we have to clean up the mess we made so it doesnt Stain.

Wrong, that is the wrong thinking, the Brits eneded intact because they knew when to leave, when to give up, they didn't try and hold on when things went bad they said time to cut out losses and go home.

We aren't different, but we can't go telling other countries what to do, they won't do it, and we can't be every where, no see we are merely making the stain worse, by staying there we make the terrorists look better, once we leave their reason for existing is gone, and they lose all support.
