I think the next president should prepare the u.s. to have a sustainable economy in the future. cause in 50 years from now, the u.s. is definitely not going to have the strongest economy, military, etc. basically, it won't be the only superpower in the world.

as far as i know, i'm not going to vote republican AT ALL.

probably the biggest thing right now for me, besides the economy and the environment, is what kind of person the next president would nominate for the supreme court. one of the justices is poised to step down within the next four years. the votes have been very close ever since roberts and alito came in (4-5 or 5-4) and if the next president nominates a conservative judge, it will totally change many laws. I am catholic, but i firmly believe that religion and politics should not mix like that (separation of church and state). cause all the laws we've been working for in the past decades will be totally changed if a conservative judge replaces the next justice to step down.

no more abortion, no same-sex marriage anywhere, no stem cell research, etc.
If this were to happen, it's more of a step backward then a step forward..

I do not think any of those are really a step forward or step back more of step left or right.

Which is one reason that America has to begin patching up relations with the world, McCain can't do it, Obama can, we need to stop trying to democratize the world and start focusing on our economy, getting out of iraq and removing our troops from bases overseas is a good step to cutting costs, plus restructuring the military, overhauling entitlements, etc. is a good start

Im sick of being called the worst country there is, im sick of america's name being dragged through the mud.

haha, people naive enough to think that the next president won't look out for america's own best interest, even if it's obama.

that being said, in terms of foreign relations, obama probably is the best candidate. not necessarily in other areas.

the Wii is an epidemic.

Sure he'll look out for his own best interest, who doesn't, but what would be in his best interest is better for the rest of us then what would be in mcCain's best interest

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

^ Oh please like they care wheether they attack us on US soil, its about gaining support, and us being there has gained more support for them than any 9/11 could, no once we leave their support dries up.

Fatalities are downbut so what people are still dying and still being wounded in addition we are losing billions over there, and our reason for remaining, it doesn't matter if we lose 1 or 1 million, if we are wasting our time, our money and letting people get injured and killed then its a waste, better to leave and focus on our own problems

So what if there is three or three hundred factions, if they want to fight then let them, we can't be responsible for the world, we need to focus on ourselves first, the region will take care of itself.

No you are of the idea that if we leave the middle east will fall to Alqaeda and then they will attack us with pakistani nukes, that's ridiculous

I'm pulling for McCain.

God help us all if Clinton or Huckabee get into the White House.

what is with all this anti Clinton attitude.  I understand if you are agasint her for economic or social reasons but you are also against Huckabee so that means you must disslike her for another reason.  I dissagree with Clinton but I know why.  I dont understand why people hate her before they even know where she stands.  They just hate her because its the cool thing to do.  As for Huckabee.  Why do you dislike him either.  You support McCain and Huckabee and McCain are very similar.  Is it because Huckabee religous.  His moral decisions are still very similar to ths of McCain.

The same thing with Bush for most poeple.  They say they hate Bush and yet they cant give a reason why.  Some may say Iraq but other than that they have now clue.  I am not defending Bush just tired of bashing without evidence.  I know some peopl to do know why they hate bush and can provide a arguement but most cant.

Well I live in a pretty Democratic area where most people seem to like the Clintons a lot, and they have an intense dislike of Bush. I pretty much fit into that mold. It's just bizzare to most of us that Bill was impeached for an indiscresion, while Bush gets to start unecessary wars, shred the constitution, and do anything and everything he can to help his rich corporate friends. I think hatred of the Clintons is far more irrational than hatred of Bush, but hell I'm just lefty who's voted straight Democrat in every election since I became eligible to vote in 2002.

Cause, y'know, he totally got impeached because he had sex, and not for an actual illegal action, like oh, lying under oath. I'm sure it's just a little thing, after all, he was only lying about sex, what do we care? But if it was something minor like that and he was willing to lie about it, what else was he willing to lie about?

Oh, and the war of course is totally unecessary too. 9/11 didn't really happen, and the terrorists actualy thought we were totally okay and wanted to send us all puppies until Bush declared war on them, it wasn't until then that they started to try to kill people.

God, I love logic.

The next time a WMD goes of it will be from a terrorist organization with nothing to lose.

There's a good chance that group will be comprised of U.S. citizens, born and raised.

Why are you making such ridiculous assumptions?

I hate Hillary for her economic views, her views on the game industry, her insincere speeches, her family

history, and her general hypocrisy regarding the Nixon and Clinton impeachments, among other things.

I don't want Huckabee in the White House because he is a radical. McCain is not bound by the views of

his party, but Huckabee aligns himself exactly with the stereotypical Republican. Huckabee is against gay

rights of any kind, he was a minister, he wants to teach creationism in schools, he denies evolution, ect.

McCain is often considered a "maverick" by his colleagues.

The next time you assume that my views are based on my own ingorance, stop and think for a second.

---------------
The Board is the best site on the Internet.

The one thing i'm sure of is that I would NEVER vote for Huckabee. He'll merge church and state, something Jefferson said he never wanted to see in America, and that'll turn this country into the Christian equivalent of a Islamic radical country, because all the laws are going to be changed.

(the laws will change because one of the justices is poised to step down in the next 4 years, and if Huckabee were to nominate a conservative judge, the conservatives will have the majority of the supreme court)

and plus, he doesn't look like a president. >_
