It hasn't been full price since a couple of weeks after launch so I wouldn't get so excited. Uncharted 3 only sold as much as it has quickly due to massive bundling and a good advertisement campaign for once from Sony, otherwise you can take 1m+ off and that's how much it would've sold.

I think it sold badly considering how massively bundled it was & how it had a price reduction in just a few weeks and how it is a sequel to a fairly successful game, it sold nowhere near as well as Gears 3, Skyrim (360), BF3 (360) and none of them were bundled. UC3 will never reach 7m, neither will UC2. They'll both reach 5.75-6.25m.

What you people don't understand is that selling more games quickly at full price means more profit, even if UC2/3 magically could reach 7m at the price of a bag of peanuts then it doesn't mean much because the profit they make will still be tiny compared to the 3 games listed above for example, or even a game that can reach around 4m+ in around a year without being bundled massively. How can people be impressed by sales made by mass bundling? Uncharted would be a 4.75-5.25m seller if it wasn't bundled so much. I hate the Uncharted games, they are so mediocre and they just feel like they're designed for fools and philistines, they'll be forgotten within 10 years anyway because the only thing people like about them is the graphics and they'll be hideously outdated next generation.

the gears 3 360 available from launch around 2 months or so before uncharted 3 launched with its own bundle

edit: lol looking back at your post history posts like that aren't out of the ordinary at all

Bundles massively? LOL

You people are just so funny. You do know that Gears 3 sold way more in bundles thatn U3 did right? U3 had a limited edition bundle. Gears 3 had a special edition custom 360. Guess which sold more? Gears 3.

Uncharted 3 is selling extremely well for an exclusive game. It will easily reach 5mil in a few months and 6mil by en dof year if its lucky.

no need to gang up on the guy and besides uncharted 3 was already cheap in some places and heavily bundled with ps3 from day one

Great news. I think 6 million lifetime is without a question when looking at the weekly sales. And the price cut will definitaly help the game to reach that goal.

And 7 million is a possibility too. Will depend when PS4 and Uncharted 4 will be anounced. And even that doesnt mean that it stop selling. The PS3 will likely sell some millions in the next 5 years.

And for the bashers commentarys: Uncharted 3 got an Christmas bundle ( which help the uncharted 3 sales for sure) but thats all. Any other Uncharted 3 bundle are leftovers from christmas.

And to be fair many many games this generation only get such high sales with bundles: Forza 3, Fable 3, Halo 3, Resistance, Motorstorm, Uncharted 2,Little Big Planet, Mario Kart Wii, Kinect Adventures, Wii Sports etc.

Bundles and price cutes always happens to big games. And i think its a good way to expand the fanbase.

And with the more money argument. Uncharted 3 had a way bigger opening than Uncharted 2 and had sell fairly better the first three months than Uncharted 2. So at the end of the day Uncharted 3 will have made easily more money than Uncharted 2 when it stop selling.

I have said my opinion and i will not say any more to the bashers here on vg charts. I wish you all a good day and the more you bash the more i like those sexy Uncharted 3 legs.

The game has been €29.99 on Amazon for months now. I still need to finish Uncharted 2 before I can buy this but I'll definitely get it somewhere down the road. Great sales, even considering the bundles.

This game could outsell gears of war 3, it's very amazing if you think about it

I agree 100%.

Both with your analysis about front loaded sales who give the publishers good profits versus slow sales from the bargain bin and bundles which means nothing but gives inflated sales numbers.

And I agree about the quality of Uncharted. It's an extremely dumbed down Tomb Raider and it makes me ashamed of all the gamers and reviewers who are unable to acknowledge it (sadly I believe the success of Uncharted will force Tomb Raider itself to become dumbed down).

I think 6mill is pretty much confirmed, with 7mill quite possible now. The triple pack and game of the year edition will definitely help also. Great game, great series. :D
