I'm pretty sure the current numbers posted are not the ones that are post-adjustments completely...!!The current gap is obviously from an under tracked sales. Ps3's gap to 360 should be around 1.8 to 1.9 or even as less as 1 million. I was also beginning to feel that as per the current userbase numbers, Ps3's sales might have even surpassed on worldwide shipments and sales combined. Don't feel surprised, if VGchartz updates the gap to less than a million around October this year posting correct numbers of consoles sold actually.

There once was a great sig here, but it got killed.

A moment of silence would be appreciated.

Now if you read carefully, you will come across the statement that ps3 is the most used console and infact the most reliable. Touchwood, my PS3 is still alive and kicking butt.  My statements are based on that article's link above . The trend has been like that for a while. If that keeps up, sales are surely going to go upwards even in Japan. Look at the Japanese figures of 360. It's a joke already.  MS has tarnished their presence there(figures prove). The same thing is to carry over the nextbox, if they do not strategise things well. A free online service and an optional PS plus membership across EU, Japan and US are enough for the console to keep up the current trend. 360 is only limiting it's users with paid membership and with a limited hardware.  LOL at the 99 $ deal. It started with RROD in the first phase and with a mandatory online payment what-so-ever the deal is. A reason why hardcore gamers are moving on to PS3 lately and 360 going down to the broader audience's choice who likes to KINECT. The discussions about online 360 subscribers in US and its cheap comparison to multiple fake PSN accounts have been on the rise. I would say that the numbers are infact steadily increasing and would only continue to double or triple the 360's over due time globally because of that multiple account provision. 360 needs to prove itself or perhaps the MS gimmicks really need to prove/work in its favour not just in US, but across all regions equally. Counting refurbished consoles in the shipments is lame. MS is only focussing on the shipment numbers IMO and holiday season.

The statement says: "Users of PS3 showed the highest level of usage frequency". How does that translate to "The gap should be around 1.8-1.9m"? You know that statement means that the people who do own a PS3, use it more than the people who own a 360 or Wii, relatively. And nowhere do I see them mention reliability either, but it's a well known fact Wii is the most reliable.

You're just speculating, which is why I said we couldn't have nice things.

Just caught you there in the Highlighted section. More usage is the precursor to console success.  It'll translate when VGchartz updates. We can have nice things when we reason with justification.

That has nothing to do with sales...at all.

there should of been an option for never. not saying its not possible, but look at last year xbox was the best sold console worldwide, cuss of the holiday sales ,wait till the halidays again plus halo 4 is coming this year, and ahhhh its halo, you all know how well halo can sell and how it can move units, halo 3 over 11 million units, halo reach 9 million units, combine that with the holidays and the possible price drop yeah this can be 360 year again,it dose not matter how many ps3 exclusive comes out this year cuss they need alot, all 360 needs is one halo, sales says it all, anything else is extra, you all can says ps3 has more games but look at it this way thats the only way it can go toe to toe with 360 they cant make a halo like title that sells alot, look at killzone good game not halo good but good game and its no were near the seller halo is,the best seller i can name for ps3 is gt5 thats the closest one that can come near halo ofter that is uncharted 3 with a bit over 4 million units,it will need 3 uncharted games combine to outsell halo 3,ps3 has already gotten a price drop not likely to get anouther one soon that will kill them,360 has not gotten a price drop since 2008 i think.now if were talking 2013 thats were 360 is in a bit of a bine there will be no halo 5 for 360 the next gears will most likely be for the nextbox,so unless they anounced a new game for 2013 that year is ps3s year, dont get me wrong i enjoy ps3 well not as much as 360 but i injoy it,looking fowered to the last of us and halo 4 this year=)

Ahhh, why the walls of text people?

This post is just brilliant.

And when Pezus is calling you out about something pro PS3 and contra Xbox 360 sales, you know you are wrong.

I like the "MS is only focussing on the shipment numbers" and that MS counts refurbished consoles as sales most. Keep it up.
