Forums - Politics Discussion - North Korea Can't Get It Up

So today was supposed to mark the 100th Anniversary of Kim Il-Sung, founder of North Korea, by launching a satelite into orbit.  As most things North Korean, it failed, breaking up shortly after lift off, and once again embarassing the world's most erstwhile country.  On the surface this seems to be a good thing, but given the North's situation, this could push them to take more extreme measures, such as testing another nuclear weapon (maybe even a Uranium weapon this time), to prove their might.  It is a shame that this brutal regime remains standing as it robs the citizens of any future that they might have by guaranteeing millions of them will starve, and the rest will wallow away in an impotent country.  What are your thoughts on these events?

It made me lol why are they so adamant on having weapons?

My thoughts?

A: Sad that it failed.
B: Already posted yesterday mate
C: Too much anti North-Korea in your post, but let's not getting into that again so soon. ;)

Part of the intentional cult of personality the government wants over their people.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

I watched the guy that founded Tesla Motors and Space X (Elon Musk) on the Daily Show the other day. Funny that he can have a private company that is years ahead of nations. I suppose hiring former NASA employees doesn't hurt. In your face N. Korea! You can't even match a private company that was founded in 2002.

He was first launching his rockets from an island (Jon Stewart pointed this out during the interview).  So he might be a mad scientist.  You should check out his Tesla car video on YouTube.  Looks bad ass for all electric car and can go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds (top model of the model S) or 5.6 seconds for 0-60 mph for the base model.  Add that with the a 85 kWh battery that can go 300 miles at 55 mph (or the 44 (160 miles) and 60 kWh (230 miles) then you have one bad ass electric car.  He easily shows GM that their Volt is a piece of shit in comparison.  Tesla Motors was thought to be gone but looks like they will probably have good enough demand to keep going.  I need to get a job for this guy.

yeah i know tesla cars. one is in forza 4 as well (if i'm not wrong)

Edit: this one

Getting a little off topic but I assume there weren't too many upgrade options for it if it was in the game.  I am pretty sure you can't put a turbo or supercharger on an electric car.  You could probably do some basic upgrades like exhaust and racing chip though.

Back to North Korea...  They should just hire his company if they really just want to put satellites into space.  Oh wait... that probably isn't the only thing they want to do with a rocket.

What happened to the deal with the US?
