There is some obsecure japanese game on the genesis that I used to play that had great artstyle and very eerriee monsters, and ghostly sounding music, you play as a girl with a katana and a school girl uniform (i think) and it was a very fast paced game, but was very hard, one of the bossess was a giant worm that you have to kill his tail bit by bit till you reach his head, he becomes much faster each time you kill a part of him, kinda like the ghost buster one, another boss is a witch that looks a lot like Cloud of Darkness from FFIII, she floats around the screen fast, and was really a very hard boss, I don't remember beating her,I think it was released the same time as Kid Chameleon , but I hardly remember what its called, in fact I think I never knew what its called because it was in Kanji

Now that i did a little search , I THINK its called Valis The Fantasm Soldier , BUT i saw some videos on Youtube, it seems to have the same style (school girl costume) , but the game i remember was faster and harder, also a lot darker, like end of the world theme , very dark sounding music too

anyone old school here might remember it?

This happened to me a while ago but THANKFULLY I remembered one of the cheat codes I used to type into the game and I found it based on that.

Would've driven me CRAZY if I didn't get it (asked around all the forums I knew lol)

Crazy enough to make you go insane, get put into a mental institute, then kill yourself, then the people who run it found your dead body when they just realised you weren't insane and they were going to set you free but you already killed yourself?

As a matter of fact, YES!

Um... get better soon?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I don't have a problem with remembering games. My problem is that I remember cheat codes and I have no idea what they belong to. I'll be minding my own business when I suddenly remember:

CTMV-W26K-R5KN-SIBK (that's the password and I swear it works for whichever game it's for), or Z,A,R,Z,A,B. Lately, I've been thinking L,Y,X,R,B,A (I just remembered, the last one isn't a cheat code at all.  It's the way I configure my buttons in Street Fighter II for the Super Nes!).

Fascinating. What an odd, yet insteresting superpower. It's like having a kryptonite but not knowing what its sole purpose or its use is

Damn I think this was a gameboy game. you go around playing with these characters that remind me of street fighter characters well ryu and chun li and if you die you turn into ghost and if you find another character before time runs out you can jump into their bodies and continue the game. Also the first boss was like this dragon. I cant remember the name for anything.

You think you're cool for setting the reader up like this? Telling him/her your interesting story about the game and then NOT giving the title? I know you know the reader is interested in what the game is, but you purposely refuse to not give the title. Why? Just to tick us all off?!?! That make you feel good about yourself? That help you sleep at night? knowing you had someone read your post, sucked into your story about some mysterious game only to have you NOT GIVE THE GODDAMN TITLE! I FUCKING HATE YOU!!!!!

EDIT: you know what, I'm sorry about that. I just get a little ticked off when things like this happen. And you may have given the title later in the thread, but I just had to say this to let off some steam. I'm really sorry though.

There's this one game where you play a character who's living the good life. He sleeps with a different girl every day. He lived in a HUGE mansion with like thirty different exotic cars. He makes an enormous amount of money (like 5mil an hour) while doing nothing. He has a close group of loyal friends whom treats him like a king. This dude was in shape, attractive, smart, rich and powerful. He ain't take no shit from nobody. There wasn't really an objective to the game. Just play and watch what it's like to be perfect. Living LIKE A BOSS! He even...

...oh wait...

*puts on sunglasses*

That's my actual life.

If you ever watch the closing credits of Saints Row 2, you'll see 'inspired by the life and times of Jay520' on there.*
