Forums - General Discussion - What is your Easter tradition?

Dinner with the family, usually Cornish Game Hen or lamb. My mom makes baskets with candy, but we stopped decorating eggs long ago.

Oh and we indulge in the foods things we gave up for Lent. I gave up chips and my brother gave up soda. So there's going to be lots of bowls of my favorite chips and I'm guessing my bro will drink his wait in Pepsi.

my easter is next week this year, greek orthadox its different every year sometimes its in may aswell

ive always fasted and gone to church for communion, i also will be eating a chocolate bunny. theres also another thing we do, we take a painted hard boiled egg and try to crack the tops and then bottoms of them by striking them together with someone elses the person with the last uncracked egg is considered lucky

Grabbing some chocolate eggs, hogging up a few beers, playing some games, watching some movies, writing some code.

Not religious, so fortunately for me, it's 100% my relaxing day.

Eating, sleeping, n' scratchin' mah balls.

In other words, nothing really, even though I am Christian. We just don't celebrate traditions. My mom maintains that Christmas started out as a pagan holiday (which is true) so we don't celebrate it, for example.

I don't treat Easter any different than any other day of the year.. I don't think any non-religious UK people do, apart form eating eggs ofcourse. In the UK we don't eat chocolate eggs though, we eat raw eggs. Anyway, I will sadly be doing intense revision tomorrow...

Couldn't the same be said about Christmas? :O That's what I heard at least.

That it's a pagan holiday?

Yep, although it would of been longer if we were in India ;p

Anyway... I also go to church for a "special" service. Not for that long though! Then we have a Family Brunch and I gets some moneys and cards. XD
