I am bloody tired of anonymous noobs saying WiiU is less powerful than the HD twins. Several developers have said WiiU is significantly more powerful than the HD twins, because it is. Let's look at the specs of each platform, starting with WiiU:
Platform | WiiU | Xbox Next | Orbis | PS3 | Xbox 360 |
Graphics | Radeon HD 4870 | Radeon HD 6670 | Radeon HD 6670 | Nvidia 7800GT | ATI X1950 |
Processor | Quad-core 3GHz | 4 or 6-core AMD CPU | AMD quad-core 2.9GHz | 3.2GHz CELL | Tri-core 3.2GHz |
Memory | n/a | n/a | n/a | 512MB (system/graphics) | 512MB GDDR3 |

The Memory Clock and Memory Interface are slightly higher for the 6670 but that's because it's a new card. In all other categories, the 4870 is clearly superior. Even if the Xbox Next is sporting two 6670s, the 4870 would still be able to hold it's own. The difference in quality would be about the difference between the GameCube and the Xbox 1.

Since we can conclude that the ATI X1950 is a faster card than the 7800GT, for the sake of the following comparison, we will compare the 4870 to the X1950.

As you can see, the Wii U's GPU is significantly more powerful than the Xbox 360, arguably the stronger of the HD twins graphics cards. These anonymous developers are just trolling. If the WiiU is "barely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PS3", what does that say about the Xbox Next and Orbis? Both of those platforms graphics cards are obviously weaker than the Wii U.
Essentially, what developers are saying is: Next Gen platforms are weaker than current gen. Well guess what, they're not. So fuck off anonymous developers.
