Yes, it's time for another "For Vita?" thread! This time we're looking into Call of Duty! Unlike my Monster Hunter Vita thread, this game has been confirmed and is most likely coming this year. However, we haven't heard anything about since and that's the point of this thread. So what's your thoughts on this game?

My thoughts: It's Black Ops 2. It's easier for the developers this way instead of making a brand new title and it's the fastest way to get Call of Duty on the system.

Here's the Monster Hunter thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=141687&page=1#

Update: Sorry all handheld owners(this includes 3DS and Vita owners). N-Space has just confirmed that they will not be developing Black Ops 2 for handhelds this year. This comes to question that we we're sure that Black Ops 2 was coming to the Vita in some way or form, but now that seems lost. Unless another developer will make a handheld version, seems like we might see a slight delay at E3. Or another game all together?

If it's not it's own game, it's pointless. Unless it's free when you buy the console version.

There was only 1 PSP CoD game. Received mixed-poor reception from critics, had no online, and this was on the the platform with no second analog and no touch screen. It still sold 2 million and it wasn't a console port.

I think that's enough reason to give the VIta it's own game.

And it released before the franchise reached its current heights

now now, no need bring any sense into anything Vita related

my bet is that it is it's own thing, the thing I'm most interested in seeing is the multiplayer

I don't know about this one. I doubt it will do very much. CoD already has the userbase cemented on the PS3 & 360. I don't see them playing on the Vita at this point in time. Surely, it would do modestly. It does have the CoD name after all.

It will be a title that has it's own seperate campaign mode, however, the multiplayer will be cross platform with the new PS3 Call of Duty.

At least that way the game will be different, yet it will also remain a worthy purchase due to not having to worry about a lacking online community.

Who knows? Wait for E3.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

I think it will be a CoD: Zombies game like on the iOS.. which is a lot of fun with 4 players..

Sounds like a very good call, and certainly the best way its going to be received. Other than it just being one of the pay once get both formats games.

not sure COD would help anyway.

I will be Vita's real "doom" imo. Because it will make Vita the shooter box brick if its more sucessful than the other titles, and it will be way more sucessful than the other titles.

But on a side note, I believe if 3DS has its own Call of Duty by the end of the year, it'll sell more than Vita's. If Activision is smart they should release this, or another one for 3DS too. And unlike Vita, it won't sell more than other titles, so it won't dictate any software path.

My lokal online retailer has it named Call of Duty Black Ops Vita. But i guess that wont make any sense so i would say its probably Black Ops 2.
