Sony and thatgamecompany have announced Journey has “officially broken PlayStation Network and PlayStation Store sales records,” by surpassing all games ever released on PSN to become the fastest-selling game ever released in the SCEA region. No figures were provided. It was also announced the soundtrack would be released through the PS Store and iTunes on April 11, and a limited CD will be released in the near future.

That's pretty crasy. I'm looking forward to playing this game myself once I have a fully operational Playstation 3 again :P It's already on my mental list of games I have to get. Along with Uncharted 3, Infamous 2 and some others.

Absolutely wonderful game I've played through 11 times now. I spend more time with Journey then with ME2.

First it was the sense of wonder that comes from watching a movie like Spirited away for the first time.
Then it became a great interactive piece of music in the spirit of Fantasia where you can add your own notes together with another player. All the while experiencing the emotions of Ico when playing with someone else.
I'll get back to it now and then to fly around in the white cloak, very relaxing.

I wish TGC would release this on blu-ray with the developers interviews, making of iterations, sound track and concept art. This needs to be on my shelf.

Fully deserved. It's an amazing game. Played it through 7 times and never once got bored :D

"No figures were released"

While impressive and the game totally deserves it, the quote usually bugs me (as it does when similar pieces of news hits). This could mean that the previous record holder really didnt have any significant numbers and to release the figures would be kinda contradictory to the victory message they are trying to convey.

But hey, PSN downloads were never really picked up by the PS3 community.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

PSN downloads were never really picked up by the PS3 community as much as XBLA is by 360 userbase.


Or it could be that Sony doesn't like announcing Numbers...? There was no need to mention the 360 here...
