Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Have Scamco reached a new low?

Saw this on gaf and felt like I should post it here

I'm sure many of you will remember how the 3DS port of the One Piece Unlimited Cruise games actually only contained the first game in the PAL territories, unlike in Japan.  Which was bad enough considering it wasn't a budget release.  However, it has been revealed via an AU classification (http://www.classification.gov.au/www/cob/find.nsf/5b6ebdff7f5b9a24ca2575ca00062226/08d22344f0ba5ea2ca2579c70057fdd6?OpenDocument) that they are releasing the 2nd game as a standalone port in Australia.

Apparently the PAL version of the first game fitted onto a 512MB card, while both games were 2GB in Japan; its not like both game couldn't fit due to the variety of languages for PAL releases.

Namco are bad, but I didn't see them doing this.  Or have I missed something else they did?

Basically. Crapcom would sell you a blank cart and then sell you the game itself piecemeal via DLC for a grand total of several hundred dollars.

And the box would say "One Piece Unlimtied Cruise" just to add insult to injury.

I don't think this is lower then Ridge Racer Vita.. that was like a stick in frozen poo and selling it like icecream

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

My God I despise Capcom...

It's actually good, they're cutting the suffering of buyers in half as the Wii game sucked balls! That takes a very noble heart, Namco!

To be fair though Capcom have shown a great deal of support to Nintendo consoles in recent years. The Resident Evil Chronicles franchise is excellent imo and they've brought Zack & Wiki, Okami, Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter Tri and Tatsunoko vs Capcom to the Wii and Resident Evil Mercenaries, Resident Evil Revelations, Super Street Fighter IV, Monster Hunter 3G (in Japan) to the 3DS and will be bringing Monster Hunter 4 to the 3DS as an exclusive.

And I'd put a great deal of cash on the U getting plenty of support too starting with Resident Evil 6, and if the use of the touchscreen of Mercenaries 3D and Revelations is anything to go by the U SKU will end up being the definitive version.

I don't have a problem with Capcom myself, if they support the U like they've supported the Wii and 3DS I'll gladly give them my cash. It's not as if they've supplied us with any shovelware, all of those titles I've listed above are quality titles.

No!
I believe they can still sink a little bit lower.

No. Not really. This is a new low. You can't sell a game in Japan and split it in half for Europe, making us pay 120 $ (that would be 90 €) for what is really one game.

You can either sell it in two parts in Japan and in Europe, or sell it in one part in Japan and in Europe, or sell it at full price in Japan and at budget price in Europe, splitting it in two.

You can't do what they're doing. Capcom has not gone so low. Not yet.

lol what? It's easily the best One Piece game ever (not including Kaizoku Musou, because I don't know it enough to talk about it).

It's a 10/10 for a One Piece fan. Non fans should not bother. Just like every anime/manga game.

Yeah! They can! They just have to release the game in USA... in four parts... each at full price!!!!! LOL
