In the finer details, it does mention configuration. The abstract alone is very 'hardware' orientated, but point 4 in http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/5640152-claims.html appears to be what is reported here.

Nintendo of America has an army of high priced lawyers for just this sort of thing.
I think every american company has an army of high priced lawyers. Its pretty much essential for business now isn't it?
going up against nintendo is pretty much suicide except immersion. if I remember correctly there was a company like half year ago trying to sue nintendo of its wii mote and got nailed in the coffin by nintendo.
Smart wait until they sell millions of the product, and make millions and then sue them.
2008 end of year predictions:
PS3: 22M
360: 25M
wii: 40M
The article is not from Gamespot Australia. It's written by Brendan Sinclare who is from USA. Aussies rule Mate!!!

Yes, this definately was the one. As far as i've undestood the patent, if they really had a case, they would sue every company that makes bluetooth devices, or any other wireless device that can be used to control a computer or a similar device and would make a shitload of money. So it looks like someone just wants to get Nintendo and Sony being viewed in a bad light.
