This is it, folks. It's officially official: Everyone can finally return to Tristram on May 15 when Diablo 3 finally, finally launches. Interested dungeon crawlers can pre-purchase the game from Battle.net right now in order to "be ready to play the minute the servers go live."

Blizzard also took a moment to remind everyone that you can still snag a free copy of Diablo 3 by signing up for a World of Warcraft annual pass. The deal expires on May 1. If you're looking for something a touch more physical, you'll be able to nab the retail collector's edition, which includes lots of extra goodies, for $99.99.

I heard they don't even have PVP for launch. That is why it is being released sooner than never.  Still iffy on this one.  I want to stick the middle finger to Blizzard and be done with them (but I have too much past history).  I might give this game a try but I will probably wait till Starcraft 3 is almost out before I play the "final" version of SC2.

BTW They stated they will patch PVP into the game later...  That must be one hell of a patch.

So I guess that means Heart of the Swarm in 2014?

iam playing the beta now :) gameplay is great as usual and graphics is good but they can do better alot better than that.

I think their last financial report mentionned something like three releases for 2012 which would mean DIII, SFII:HotS and a WoW expansion.

There was I time I really cared for Blizzard games, but not anymore. They take SO MUCH TIME in making their games, that I dont care about them anymore. I will have my dungeon crawler/RPG fix with Darksiders II.

That is how the Diablo Franchise should evolve, and not being a point and click RPG.

Finally a release date! I'm so hyped!
And I guess I have more than enough time to play in May, so I'm very happy ^_^
