"The Nintendo Wii could very well be a bubble that is already bursting. "

"However the Wii is not really from this generation. It is from the last generation."
"This will make the Wii pretty redundant."

"What is for absolute certainty is that by Q4 2009 the Wii will be seen by most as obsolete technology."

"Wii is an amazing creation of Nintendo and has a fantastic but short future ahead of it. Imagine if someone brought out a console that only displayed in black and white because that is what televisions used to be. This is the situation Wii will be in by Q4 2009."

"24 months from now the Wii will probably be seen as being just as obsolete as the PS2."

"Obviously the Wii right now is a big bundle of fun. It was the toy of choice in Q4 2007. But a lot of this was down to it being a craze or fad. Like hoola hoops once were. This will not continue when it is generally seen as being out of date.

Over lifetime the PS3 and 360 will both sell more than Wii. This is because they will have 10 year product lives."

"Wii is headed to being a $99 toy. Even then it will sell less than it did in Q4 2007. It's finest hour has passed."

I got bored of looking at your quotes halfway down the page of the first topic. You are quite definately saying that the Wii will be dead by 2009 which I consider to be suddenly stopping selling.
Personally I think that is one of the more stupid predictions I have ever seen.

You know bruceongames is like the flipside of a coin of John Lucas.

JL posts his sometimes ludicris, sometimes amazingly accurate Wii predictions, just to get the fanboys riled, and gets a laugh out of it.

Bruce posts his predictions, gets the fanboys riled and also gets a laugh out of it.

Both have some good insight into the industry. Both feed off the attention. The big difference is JL is always a gentleman, even to the most rabid of fanboys. Bruce is just a ______ (fill in the blank with whatever adjectives come to mind).

SWEET CREAM... ON AN ICE CREAM SANDWHICH!!!!

This thread blows.

I find it hilarious that he thinks he isn't a fanboy.

I don't know...I'm having fun with it.

Some nobody comes in, ranting about his awesome tech blog that gets 3 comments a post (less than my dead Xanga page), and talks about how we (VGChartz) are stupid because one person might have gone over and said something about pixels. Meanwhile, he and his "industry friends" are blowing loads and high fiving, seeing as they're the smartest of the bunch.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Good thing you plug your shitty site here, maybe you should leave your phone number off the site, people could have some fun with it.

I highly doubt he talks to "industry professionals" who say things such as:

"It's because the Wii is the smallest console hence the cheapest to develop for. You can fit less data in it, due to its size, so you don't need as many people. Fucking obvious really."

As that makes no sense. The Wii is the cheapest to develop for because it has lower SPECS. It has very little to do with storage constraints. It can't handle higher res textures, higher polygon count models, highly advanced AI or Physics, etc etc, which means less development costs due to less programmers, artists, animators, etc etc etc...

Oh yeah. Nice traffic bait there spanky...

I am a Gauntlet Adventurer.

I strive to improve my living conditions by hoarding gold, food, and sometimes keys and potions. I love adventure, fighting, and particularly winning - especially when there's a prize at stake. I occasionally get lost inside buildings and can't find the exit. I need food badly. What Video Game Character Are You?

You idiot, you're completely wrong.

Everyone knows that the Wii is easiest to develop for because its DVD drive spins backwards.

Buncha f***in' morons around here, I tell ya. Not like me and my buddies.
