Good month compared to last month at least. Glad to see skyrim outsell battlefield 3 yet another month. Sadly this isn't reflected on vgchartz weekly sales.

Where do u see that Skyrim outsold BF3 on NPD?

LTD sales according to NPD?

Wii - 39,125,000
X360 - 33,360,000
PS3 - 20,535,000

3DS - 4.5m

Wii undertracked by 150k.

360 overtracked by 355k

PS3 undertracked by 200k.

So actual gap between PS3 and 360 WW is 2.55m.

We won't know until shipment's, also a thanks would suffice, talk about manners

I appreciate the work, so thank you! And a lot of other people around here do as well

Also, not too unexpected, but Wii...undertracked??? Is that actually possible? Apparantly so!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Asura’s Wrath moved 36,000 copies, Syndicate 34,000 copies in February.

OT: I'm calling it now, year end the Wii - 360 gap in US will be below 2.5m

I'm tempted to put this in my signature, not because I don't believe you but because I'm curious to know if you'll get it right and there's no chance I'll remember this post in 9 months.

Nintendo is looking very very bad right now...... if sony somehow get the vita to take off.... they may lose their only momentum for the rest of this gen.... which is the 3ds, next gen, WII U vs a likely monstrosity of a PS4 and 720 will really probably hurt them.... hopefully sony stay with the PS3 for another year or two, and microsoft stays with the XBOX 360, that way they can launch more powerful than expected nexgen machines, and probably get their consoles to near the WII's Life time sales....

Let's look at this the other way.

If Nintendo somehow get the WiiU to take off, Sony may lose their only momentum for the rest of this gen which is the PS3 and there is no sign VITA would take off any time soon. Hopefully Sony does not stay with the PS3 for another two years and repeat the same mistake they made with PS3 and VITA launch. They can't afford to dig out a grave launch situation again since this time they do not have the mad profit made from previous generation. This is not to mention the potential challenge that will come from Microsoft.

Maybe neither VITA or Wii U would take off as expected. In such case, there will be no new challenger for 3DS while Sony would still face the challange from Microsfot not only for this gen (360) but also next gen. How would Sony look then?

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Joystiq

No 3DS games sold enough in the US to place in the top ten last month, according to NPD data. But 3DS sales were happening just under the surface, with many 3DS games making it into the (undisclosed) top 25 games of February.

The NPD told Joystiq that "some examples" of the 3DS titles that made the list includeSkylanders: Spyro's Adventure, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, FIFA Soccer, Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, Resident Evil: Revelations, andMario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games -- the last two on that list being February releases.

That's ... a significant portion of the top 25. It's also evidence of a reasonably engaged 3DS install base, and therefore stiff competition for the PS Vita, which came out in February. The Vita's Uncharted: Golden Abyss placed somewhere in the top 20 (at least in retail; Vita games also have digital sales not charted by NPD).

Along with the december list, npd always lists the top 10 best selling games of the year. This past year it was
1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (360, PS3, Wii, PC)
2. Just Dance 3 (Wii, 360, PS3)
3. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360, PS3, PC)
4. Battlefield 3 (360, PS3, PC) – Electronic Arts
5. Madden NFL 12 (360, PS3, Wii, PSP, PS2)
6. Call of Duty: Black Ops (360, PS3, Wii, NDS, PC)
7. Batman: Arkham City (360, PS3, PC)
8. Gears of War 3 (360)
9. Just Dance 2 (Wii)
10. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (360, PS3, PC)

Since then Skyrim has been ahead of battlefield 3 both January and Feburary.
