Being european I grew up watching his movies. Blood sport is an amazing martial arts movie. Ryan have you seen his movie JCVD? It was released in 2008 if I'm not mistaken and he actually gives a really great performance in it.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I know some of his straight to DVD movies are actually pretty good. The eagle path has been finished production for quite some time now. I always check to see if it's available to download. Think he's trying to get a distributor. Something tells me after the expendables it will be released. His new movie he's filming Welcome To The Jungle seems like a great comedic role for him as well. Oh, and his reality show is pretty funny you can watch most the episodes on youtube.

Damned you Spurge! Now I'm going to have to rewatch Breakin' just to watch for JCVD.

BTW, I'm sorry, but Bloodsport is by far his best movie.

Wait till next week and I have Google Chrome up and running so the page does not crash a half a dozen times. I will give Time cop and Hard Target Amp sized reviews. Then you will see!

Do you like Pre-Dalton Van Damme more or Post Dalton Van Damme? :P

Pre-Dalton I suppose.  Also, I think that his performance in No Reteat, No Surrender is epic.

N.R/R.S? Now I know how you feel when I come into your Bond thread and say that some movie has to be mediocre.

Now all 3 people who look in this thread can tell me if Amp316 is joking or serious.

JCVD appears less than 3 minutes into this movie, but go to 4:58  if you want to get a taste of what to really expect.  It'll take the ghost of Bruce Lee to stop that guy!

Thanks for both of those clips Ryan.

Is the entire movie Monaco Forever that good? I had no idea.

Woah. Some JCVD love. Good stuff.

I've always loved his stuff. His older films are definately the best. Around the Time Cop era he started to go down the tubes a bit. His straight to DVD stuff is MILES better than Steven Seagal's DVD efforts (watch Attack Force and every movie you've ever seen will automatically get +1/10 from you).

My favourite JCVD movies:
BloodSport - powder in eyes scene is beyond epic
Kickboxer
Lionheart - called AWOL in my country
Death Warrant
Nowhere to Run
Cyborg - not as good as the others here, but awesome baddie
Universal Soldier - part 1 is cool, part 3 isn't bad. part 2... SCREAM
Hard Target
Knock Off - bad, but in a good way :)
Street Fighter - yeah that really is Kylie Minogue, and I actually like this movie only because Bison is just too cheesily awesome

Hell yes! This thread owns. I watched all of JCVD's movies as a kid.

My favourites in order are :

Bloodsport- epic epic fight scenes, and him kicking that guys ass at the end even after getting blinded by poweder was beyond awesome!

Cyborg- Love this flick. Great setting, and fucking awesome bad guy!

Kick-boxer- bare knuckles fighting is cool, but dipping your hands in glue and then into broken glass before a fight is for manly men only.

Double impact - Seeing that smoking hot blond chick go topless when you're like 10 years old is enough to make this movie awesome, even if the rest of it sucked!

Lionheart - because watching poor people fight for money is always entertaining! Plus, any bad guy that carries around a white cat is just oozing with awesome sauce! (Doctor evil anyone?)

Kickboxer and Universal soldier are the best ones

All this JCVD speak is making me want to watch one of his movies. But which one...... I've never been big on Time Cop. Think I'll watch KickBoxer. Nok... Su.... kao Nok...Su...Kao.. Nok.Su.Kao Nok Su Kao!!!!
