Hmmm... Warren Specter said they had Epic Mickey running on next-gen consoles... now we also have Epic Mickey Power of Illusion on board...
Could PI be coming to Wii U aswell instead of The Power of Two?
If Wii owners are going to receive the sequel, who`s gonna buy the same game for Wii U? Would be easier to have a new Mickey for Wii U and sell two games instead of just one!

See his Gametrailers interview... he calls PS3 and 360 "next gen consoles". So that's what he meant.

But that obviously does not says there won't be a Wii U version. I say it's very likely.

Yeah you are right. He didn`t say "next gen console", but "next gen consoles".
Still, i hope that Power of Illusion will come to Wii U aswell!

They should put Epic Mickey 2 on the Wii U. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few months, since they would have to do less editing and such because the Wii U is HD. The only problem is the controller... they could just disable the touch screen feature... or just slap a map on it.

You are completely right, and I suspect this and quite a few other games will be announced for Wii U come E3 but for myself, I'm glad it's coming out on Wii as I've no plans to get a Wii U.   I could get it for 360 but I'd prefer to play it on the system the gameplay was designed for.

I hate teases like this because it makes you want to hope for a ED 2.  Having said that, unless they are working directly with Nintendo again, I wouldn't want to even see it, as they haven't produced anything noteworthy this gen and ED would need a massive overhaul as it's gameplay is rather dated now.  I just don't trust Silicon Knights to do it.  Sorry to say, as their a Canadian developer and I'd like to support my fellow Canucks.

I think they would add to eternal darkness if they put it out now. We have seen the worries over resident evil games as of late. Action and mulitplayer may be key. Resident evil online a must. Not sure how to incorporate that into ED2.

RE: Operation Raccoon City is exactly what I don't want to see in ED2.

The original was a sales failure, so IF and this is a big IF still, that they are making a sequel, they'd need to make it more mainstream or it could be their last game (would be a noble death though) after repeated failures this gen.   Even in it's day, when Survival Horrors were more popular it didn't sell well.  Survival horrors are either now 3rd person shooters (RE) or poor sellers now (SH).   A change would be required to make ED current but unless there's a really inspired idea (like how Quantic Dreams reimagined the classic adventure genre for Heavy Rain) I'd rather not see it done at all.    A mediocore action game won't do justice to the original.

I Agree that 440,000 was no where near good enough. It is a big if , were it to come to the Wii U. there are plenty of other franchises that could take its place. I think a VC download would be a good thing to get people into the old GC game first. It really was trippy.

LOL.  Okay 'failure' is being overdramatic but sales were underwhelming.   Persumably a new game would be on WiiU and therefore HD so they'd be looking for sales closer to 1m for a sequel to be profitable.   Still, if Nintendo wants to try to court the 'Mature, Core' gamer again, they could work with SK to bring this to fruition even if it's not really profitable, just to give them some street cred.    Question is, is Nintendo on board?  If not.... I question SK's ability to make it work.

Square Enix has released a teaser site for a new unannounced game that’s apparently due to be released in Japan during the Summer. The teaser trailer lists a number of keywords including crystal and summons (along with Odin, Titan and Diablos). We shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out what the game actually is, and what formats it is being developed for.
